Truthfully the book is actually a Vector image. And while I have and do frequently use Affinity Photo, it is just a personal preference of mine to work in Vector formats when at all possible. Raster image tracing and warping and skewing text are thus far the only 2 things I have found that I miss from Illustrator. Other than the subscription fee. I'll do it in Photo with the perspective tools since that's the only way currently possible within the Affinity Suite. 😉

Can someone please answer for how to accomplish in Affinity Designer, NOT PHOTO please. I want this to be an all vector format project. I need instructions for the process on how to make the text look like it is actually printed on the attached book cover? Or point me to a good video on the subject matter.

Realizing that in many circumstances this would not be desired, but is there any way to change the default order in which layers are created? For example instead of most recent being at the top of the list, the most recent would be at the bottom of the list, and behind all other layers. I am most particularly interested the ability to do this for to affect the behavior of one particular scenario: When creating Logos and grouping Artistic Text that has been converted to Curves... Instead of selecting and grouping items from left to right as they would be read, Affinity groups the items in reverse where the last item farthest to the right or at the end of the word becomes the top layer in the group. And so, the word ends up reading in the Layer list from the bottom up instead of from top down. And then so... I have to manually rearrange the entire Layer List group sequence to have the word read in the layer list from the top down.
