  1. I am very confused by this - how can you resize an image without changing the outside frame -- double-clicking doesn't bring up any widget for me, and long-pressing the RMB doesn't seem to do anything other than bring up the Transform box? I've seen people mention the Move option, but this seems to move the whole frame, not the image itself. I want to be able to adjust the image while maintaining the frame, but it just doesn't want to play ball. I have even tried using Designer or Photo while in Publisher, and it won't let me change it the way I'd like to. Help?
  2. I tried reinstalling 1.8 and pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift to start the program, but it doesn't seem to have solved the problem - it does exactly what Huw said: the splash screen appears, but then the program bombs and disappears again. On the odd occasion when it does seem to load, it keels over as soon as I try and load an .afpub file into it. The other programs (Photo and Designer) don't seem to suffer with this problem after upgrading... I'm sticking with Affinity Publisher 1.7 for now.
  3. Anyone else having a major headache with the latest Affinity 1.8 update(s), specifically Affinity Publisher? It routinely struggles to open at all, and when it does, quite often it just keels over and closes itself down again if I try and load an .afpub file. This seems to happen any time I have another program open that uses fonts... like InDesign, Word, etc. Am planning to roll back to the previous version this weekend, I think.
