It would be very useful if the export persona allowed us to choose what layers were exported for each slice.
I do complicated graphs that build up from simpler ideas. So it is useful to put the basic graph on one layer, some enhancements on another layer, and perhaps point out some specific features on a third layer. I then want to export this as three separate images: Just layer 1, Layers 1+2, and Layers 1+3. At the moment the only way I've found to do this is to manually change the visibility of the layers and the name of the exported file and then export one file. This process needs to be repeated three times in my example.
I can also imagine that icon designers would find this useful. They could have a layer with the basic icon and then other layers with overlays (check marks, or plusses etc). If there was the possibility of selecting which layers were visible for each slice they could set up batch exports for these.

A lock should be a lock, a real lock...

I'd like to see this too, though I'd prefer the names to be a bit more descriptive e.g. "Lock Content" and "Lock Location".

I'm using Affinity Designer 1.6.1 on macOS and this is one of the most important features I'm missing doing UI work:
Being able to create an object style (say "Button outline", or "Info panel style") and apply it to all relevant such objects. Then, critically being able to CHANGE the style (adjust the stroke for example) and have all objects with the style applied to them update. Currently it seems I can create and apply styles, but I can't change them which to me removes 80% of the usefulness of having styles.
Incidentally, text styles in Affinity Designer work fine and just the way I would expect them as described above, so it's surprising and a little confusing the object styles do not. Perhaps this indicates that similar object styles are on the roadmap (somewhere I can't find?) but the developers just haven't gotten around to it yet?

Doing more and more of my illustration jobs in Designer I am badly missing a knife and/or eraser tool, too!
When doing comercial work for clients, time is what counts. So everything that speeds up the working process is greatly welcomed!
It's not chiefly the "big new features" that makes a software the tool of choice, it's the fine enhancements in the workflow, that let you do your work fast. Switch tools to often, clicking through menus and panels to often slows the work down, since some things have to be done hundreds of times a day. That's in many cases the cause, why I prefer the Affintiy apps today. But there's still some room for improvement 😉.

I get a noticable lag (about 1/2 sec estimated) with each pen-click, too. Not just when drawing, but also all over the UI, even in the menus. Quite anoying esp. when working with shapes and lines. I can't remember this in version 1.7.
While I had no problems with the old method in pre-1.8-versions I would really appreciate to have the choice between the old method an Windows Ink.

Why there is no native support for pen pressure anymore ? I dont like Windows Ink because is very laggy. I've allways disable this feature in wacom settings. Everything  works fine in 1.7.3

    Hello

I have problem while using Wacom tablets (Intuos 5 and Intuos M) with both Photo and Designer 1.8.0.585.

When Windows Ink is enabled, I can't change brush size, spacing, rotation using ALT-LMB-RMB-drag not to mention bubbles, ripples and Alt, Ctrl, Shift labels appearing under cursor.

When disabled - no pressure sensitivity. Please help.

    (Windows 10, Lenovo Y70)
