  1. My issue has been resolved. A little detail to help someone else who experiences the same problem, "Setup failed". I found a suggestion dated 08/20/2019 from moderator "Stokerg" for a similar issue. I reviewed the "SetupUI.Log file from my previous install attempt (located in %temp%/AffinitySetup) and determined that the 1.8.0 installer could not remove Affinity Photo version 1.7.3.481. I then followed Stokerg's instructions to download a utility program from Microsoft (the link is https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed and ran it as he instructed by selecting "Having trouble installing" Affinity Photo. The Microsoft utility found I had a corrupt registry key and corrected it. I then reran the 1.8.0 installer, but it failed again.Dam, but I didn't t give up... I reviewed that "SetupUI.Log file and determined the 1.8.0 installer failed for the same previous reason, could not remove my current version of Affinity Photo. I then reran the Microsoft utility program, but this time I selected "having trouble uninstalling" Affinity Photo. The Microsoft utility ran for almost a minute this time around and completed by saying it had made some some changes and suggested I rerun the 1.8.0 installer. I reran the 1.8.0 installer and this time it worked!! Thank you Stokerg!! Log.txt Hello, I have Affinity Photo 1.7.3.481 currently installed since 2/2/2020 with no installation issues or processing problems. Windows 10 Pro, version 1909 build 18363.657, all drivers are up to date ThinkPad X1 Extreme 2 i7-9850H CPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB of GDDR5 SDRAM Intel UHD Graphics 630 32 GB RAM 360 GB free of space on the installation SSD 😄 drive I have attached the Log.txt from the AppData/Roaming/Affinity/Photo/1.0 directory for review. I have tried installing three different download versions with a system reboot between each try. Each result was the same, installer goes through it's preparation and then I receive a warning dialog box stating "Setup failed". My current version of Affinity Photo utilizes the NVIDIA video card which I verified via the "NVIDIA GPU Activity" application. I ran the 1.8.0 installer letting it choose which video GPU to use and I also forced or pointed the installer to use the NVIDIA graphics card. Not sure what to try next other than deleting my stable 1.7.3.481 version which I would prefer not to do in fear of losing my settings, preferences, etc. Any assistance or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
