  1. Thanks, yes realise that now. I had hoped to be able to batch process the open files, far too optimistic!
  2. Thank you. I thought I would be able to batch process the open photos, normally for only one or two I would do as you suggest but have quite a few open at present! It did occur to me that I should save them first so thank you for the clarification.
  3. I am clearly being very stupid about this but I cannot seem to get this to work so I hope someone will help! I am using AP1. I have a number of photos I have worked on (tiffs) in Affinity Photo and now want to export these as Jpegs. How do I select the processed photos to put them in the New Batch ? Where are those files ? Using the list in the original Tiffs folder does not convert the processed photos merely the originals? Obviously I have not understood this process at all and would welcome any clarification. What am I missing?
  4. I am obviously being very dense about this but please bear with me! I am using V1 at present and ben trying to get to grips with using adjustment layers for editing my wildlife photos. As I understand it an adjustment layer has its own mask and when I watch YouTube videos by renowned experts this mask seems to appear as a separate icon in the layers panel. So far I have been unable to reproduce that, no mask icon appears (I have attached a screenshot of what I mean) I can highlight the subject and indeed make adjustments to that selection and paint on it to reveal the other layer but I expected a mask. Is that the mask in the adjustment, if so why no icon as shown in the videos? I am clearly missing some thing fundamental or have entirely misunderstood, I would be grateful for some advice, obviously, given my confusion this needs to be a clear description!
  5. Thank you everyone, finally sorted it out. Definitely a brain fade moment but all clear now!
  6. I have just tried this and it doesn't behave as I expected. I had assumed it would add an additional column to the window (as it does in Finder) but it does not. I can, however, sort the left most column by date so have I interpreted your explanation incorrectly?
  7. Thank you so much for this, for some reason I just didn't find this solution and yet very familiar with Finder. I knew there would be a simple explanation. I'll put it down to a senior moment!
  8. I have a number of photos in a folder for stacking. In Finder (I am using a Mac) these are ordered according to date created which is one of the columns I have set up on Finder. I open 'New stack' in Affinity Photo and select add and the 'open ' window appears but the files are ordered differently and there is no 'Date created column' to reorder them as they appear in Finder. I have been unable to find any way to change this appearance in Affinity. Is this possible and if so how?
  9. I already have Affinity Photo on an iMac and today tried to download a second copy to a MBP M1Pro. I downloaded from my account but when I tried to activate the download I received an error message. Safari could not proceed with the download because it didn't seem to be a valid download file! My original purchase was a long while ago so maybe the version represented there is not recognised on this laptop. How do I download another copy of Affinity Photo? Do I use a trial and then enter my license key?
