Added Mitre Limit to Contour Tool I praised Serif for repairing the Contour Tool. It really works well in this beta. Although I still miss the option scale with object. Please add this button and it will be really fun. This option is also missing from the Corner Tool.

As for me, this is not so important. Better to make a unique one picture ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There really was no need to have a separate floating window for the preview and in terms of UI/UX it is bad and confusing. There is plenty of space within the export dialogue and yet the team have elected not to use it.
    One step back imho.

I want to see how much time you spend working with the gold section. You'll just get tired of using "Geometry" tools when in a project, for example, 100 circles))) , than a simple tool like shape builder.

All new features of Photoshop 2021 are not needed in the professional segment, because the professional is not paid for the movement of sliders. They are paid for precise work. All these new features for junior designer... Many professionals are still working in Photoshop CS6 2014

P.S. Algorithms work terrible, I never used them because after them you still need to fix everything

I am still beginning to notice how people say that Serif is very slow to develop, but Potatoshop came out in 1990, 30 years ago, Affinity Photo came out in  2015, 5 years ago, Knowing all the difficulties of software development, how many problems can be and jump out Serif has made very good software. Adobe got drunk making old stinky software by subscription shoving the functionality under the old core until it all burst. It's a pity the talents are disappearing right now adding stupid sliders, stupid algorithms.
P.S. Familiar designers who work in a global company they work in PS 2014, lol , and they easily do everything they need. I'm not saying you shouldn't update the program, do not need to add raw functionality and 5 years to patch it.

Even the funniest thing is, the people who are promoting Photoshop 2021 and the new algorithmic functionality. You will notice that they do everything on a white background to hide all the shortcomings of these very algorithms, it looks ridiculous, trying to sell shit. In the market either professionals this raw shit will not use.
The most important thing is that Serif adds functions that will really be useful and not raw.
    I'm hoping for Serif

As for the GPU acceleration improvements, I noticed that the bug I reported some days ago seems to have disappeared, which is really reassuring. The Brushes panel had a bunch of visual bugs regarding round brushes and using them were very buggy. Both of those issues have been fixed as well. Drawing and painting for the most part are feeling smoother and smoother for each Beta version. Large brushes work exceptionally well and are significantly faster and more responsive than in 1.8.5.
However, I have been trying to push the Beta to its absolute limit to find potential issues and I happened to find three still which are all related to brush stroke speed.
    1) The faster you draw with your brush, the more you will begin noticing start-up lag for every stroke. This does disappear if you keep pressuring the pen and all brush strokes become super responsive, but it is still a noticeable problem since fast strokes are quite common. The problem affects both larger and smaller brushes on large canvases.
    2) At some point the program UI stops responding for a while after I had painted tons of lines in a very short time span. The brushes don't have to be large to notice the slowdown on larger canvases.
    3) When I used one of my round brushes with pen pressure settings, the History panel started combining brush strokes as if they counted as one action on the timeline when drawing super fast. The video shown below shows just a brief taste of the problem in action, but I was at one point able to combine several brush strokes as one single history state, which is quite unusual since I have never seen this happen before in older versions of Affinity.

I'm on day two of a trial of Affinity Designer as a replacement for Adobe Illustrator and unfortunately this is the biggest issue I've come across so far - I'm really unsure of how to use the existing tools to create these complex shapes out of multiple pen lines, in Illustrator it was just one click 😩😢
