cperse got a reaction from Lluís in Roland System Color Library for spot colors and Versaworks
Hi, I'm new of this forum, I hope to help Roland's users with this color chart ready to import in Affinity Designer.
    Best Regards

  2. Confused

    Hi Michael Lloyd, voidsea, william,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
This is already possible. To switch the document from Designer to Photo (and vice versa) go to menu File ▸ Edit in Photo/Designer (depending on the application you are currently using).

I don't want to edit my whole document in Photo. I only want to edit the selected image. Things get kind of fuzzy when I select "Edit in Photo" because this command forces my whole document to be opened in Photo.

Scenario: I select an image in Designer and select "Edit in Photo". My intention is to change the color format for the targeted image to Grayscale. Guess what happens? The whole document is converted to Grayscale! When I select "Edit in Designer", the whole document opens up in Designer as Grayscale, where as I only wanted to affect the single image.

I prefer the Adobe way: select an image in an Illustrator document and choose edit and the image (not the whole document), opens up in Photoshop. Do your edits and save. The image updates in the Illustrator document. Simplicity.

Please Affinity act on this enhancement.

cperse reacted to ponce068 in CMYK : Color Separations preview
Read in forum "some people" ask this feature...
But color separations preview is important for professional printing.
For printing process, we use Illustrator a lot for these tools: checking resolution of bitmap pictures, checking and correcting CMYK (especially convert composite black to true black when a pdf has been generated with som "exotic" software") and so on.
Full control and preview is important if not working only for screen and web!
That's why I continue to use Adobe Illustrator rather Affinity Designer. Printing a PDF and checking resutl in Acrobat is not an answer.
Wish this helpfull fonction will be added one and not stay specific to Adobe...
Hope it will be present in Publisher too if it pretends to be a serious "InDesign Killer".
So Hope I can really work with "Affinity suite" once main professional functions are here :-)
Sorry for english mistakes, usually writing in french here.
