I add my +1 for this feature as well.
As someone who tries to make a living being an iPad-only user, I do not have the free alternatives listed above (in a very unpleasant and aggressive manner). In fact there are no good true vector distort tool alternatives for iPad at all.
Please don’t forget about us. All the best!

It looks like Designer has been put at the bottom of the priority list ....Such a shame

Having to turn off notifications, this clearly won't be changed any time soon

I came back here just to check wether these products have been officially discontinued. Updates are rare, and they implement nothing worth updating. it's sad.

This thread is the only reason I log into this site now…. because I’m a sadist apparently…. and wouldn’t you know? They spent time and presumably money updating the forum since my last login, but apparently NONE on the subject of the longest running thread (of any import) on said forum. Oh, the bitter irony.
Someone once said that Serif were just controlled opposition for Adobe… I dismissed the “conspiracy theory” at the time, but time itself makes a convincing argument.
Canva will eat both of them, and I won’t shed one tear.

Was this addressed? Nope... of course not. Why would it be...

I'll always be thankful to Affinity for coming along at the right time. Publisher is exactly what I was looking for after YEARS of being an adobe InDesign user and having to hobble along when they went to subscription mode (I never claimed aboard the CC for my freelance work). For those that point out shortcomings of Publisher, let's go back to when QuarkXpress just about gave up on the Mac platform and nipping at it's heels was InDesign. The first couple of years with InDesign was horrible as the company worked out kinks (essentially, 2-3 years of the public beta testing the software for the company!). It took almost 4 years for InDesign to stabilize and become a leader, basically supplanting QuarkXpress.
Anyway, I'm preaching to the converted (at least I hope so). I find the Affinity suite to be far more intuitive and certainly more integrated than adobe's bloated offerings.

Yes, but only if it loads fully. It doesn't load fully for me, either, this morning on my iPad. At least not when giving it as long as I'm willing to wait

These two points, coupled with Affinity’s deafening silence, only adds to my disappointment with some aspects of Affinity management. Even an acknowledgment that there are hurdles to getting the tools to customers... whether they be financial or straight up willingness would at least let us know where we stand. I have mentioned before that I would be willing to pay for specific features and it is increasingly clear I am not alone. Affinity, your products are too cheep if you can’t compete (on a basic level in terms of free transform) with CC! I F**king hate Adobe’s business strategy as much as the next guy, but Affinity keeping mum about development, especially in areas frequently requested doesn’t exactly make you the protagonist in the situation. I Love you guys, love your products, but please, disclose your intentions on how you plan to move forward in terms of competing with the behemoth. We are here, we want to support you, but personally I feel less inclined to when my, and others desires and concerns are treated like they don’t exist. I feel like I need to go see a marriage counselor 😂

Well that’s clearly not the case when people make money with it. Myself included. Those who find the lack of inclusion limiting in a professional sense have options with Adobe, but again, my frustrations come primarily from the lack of transparency as to WHY it’s not included, since as you say it is such a basic but greatly demanded feature.

Wasn't the whole point of these apps that they were 100% the same functionality between platforms? I swear I just read this very claim on the Affinity pages marketing these products...

I thought of that too but then why not drop a note to one of the moderators. "Yo, we don't have the time or energy to go into all the million questions and threats that are gonna come out of this, so you just tell'm abcdef.." I think most of us are civil enough to not shoot the messenger

I get what you’re saying man, but something can still be essential even if the frequency in which it is needed is relatively low for some people. I don’t need to pay Adobe their extortionate prices so don’t (primarily out of principal), but it would defiantly save time and money if a feature that has been deemed important enough to be present in other vector programs since I was in college twenty odd years ago, was included in Designer for when I do need it. In those rare moments for me it is definitely essential, and it’s fair to say that if it was there I would use it more often. Overall though, it’s the absence of an explanation from up high that irritates me…. Even more than the inefficient and often inferior workarounds.
