Amdival got a reaction from Gemini80 in Preparing Designs for Printing - Vector VS Raster Size/Sharpness Question
I see no one has responded to this. It's hard to know where to start.
    What is the print size?
You are describing a 13,000x13,000 document. When printing, you also want to know what size the printed product is. That is 13,000x13,000 squares of color. The larger you make the document, the larger those squares are. At 13,000x13,000 You can print a 43" x 43" document and have [roughly] 300x300 squares of color per every inch. You can also print a 86"x86" document and have 150x150 squares if color per every inch.
    Raster vs Vector
Raster and Vector art is fundamentally different. You can scale vector art to any size and never lose sharpness. Raster is is made up of squares. You can also enlarge raster art to as large as you would like, but you are also making those squares larger.
Typically for print items that are going to be viewed within arms length, such as things that people hold, aiming for 300dpi is standard. Things that are viewed from further away can get away with a lower dpi.
Like I said, it's hard to know where to start, but understanding the fundamental difference between the two different graphics technologies helps a ton.

It looks like you have a line break after the word "pure". It's hard to tell from the screenshot.

It looks like you have Justify All selected, but I see you have experimented with those things.
Toggle Text > Show Special Characters and give us a new screen. I think that'll help troubleshoot it.

If I understand right a blank line is represented by nothing than a line break glyph (¬) or a paragraph break (¶). Like so:
    address line 2 ¶

    address line 4 ¶
Then I assume it would be sufficient to replace all double break glyphs ( ¬¬ or ¶¶ ) by just one of them.
Of course, this also would work if the "blank line" gets some characters added before F&R as mentioned by others above – but I guess this wouldn't be necessary.

I did find a solution, similar to what Olivier.A mentioned above in case anybody else is also interested. Flickr and google search have advanced search options where you can search for images without any copyright or with a Creative Commons Attribution license. I have not checked Flickr and the google advanced search yet but this site seems promising:  https://wordpress.org/openverse/?referrer=creativecommons.org  They have the Creative Commons License.

I know this maybe a basic thing but took me a bit to figure this out.

I am using a Wacom Intuis Pro Pen & Touch Tablet so I programmed one of the express keys on the tablet to recenter and reset the rotation of the canvas.

I am using Windows 10 so not sure what this is in other systems.

    Hot Keys:

CTRL + 0  = Center Canvas on screen via "Zoom to Fit" CTRL + 1  = Zoom Canvas to 100% CTRL + ALT +SHIFT + R  = Reset Canvas Rotation
Note: You have to type and hold down the following keys for this to work, in the Keys: field in Wacom Tablet Properties it will have curly brackets around the modifier keys.  {CTRL} {ALT} {SHIFT}, this happens automatically when you hold these keys down.

I setup the express key command as follows, do NOT type the PLUS signs.
    CTRL + 0 + CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + r + CTRL + 1
This centers the canvas, resets the rotation if it has been rotated and then zooms the canvas to 100%.  You can set this to be whatever you want but for me this works for resetting and centering the canvas when it gets moved around and I can't find where I am.

One key press it is all done.

Hi Mark, I went to look for it and I couldn't find one so I made a quick and dirty one just now to share here. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes or omissions. It would be really great if the Affinity Help page for special characters could be updated to include this information.

    Interesting.
I can get it to work, but I need to select everything in the Slices panel, including the "Background" layer (or whatever is is at the top of the panel. It's not enough to simply have all the slices that I created selected. Once I Ctrl+Click on that top one, the Export Options become available.

    Thanks!
    I'm a little closer.
The default file format is PNG. Is there a way to change every slice to PDF automatically? In step 4 of your walkthrough, you say "choose PDF", but where do I choose that at?

I've tried highlighting all slices and choosing an export preset, but there is not one for PDF.

ok ok I figured it out.
I have to choose 1 slice and drop down the options. Choose PDF as the file format. Keep it highlighted then click the "Copy Export Format to Clipboard". Highlight all of the slices and click the "Replace export setup from clipboard" button.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction!

There is wide range of possibilities to manipulate text 'just' via code. One of the tools is for instance 'Processing', a language which seems to be specialized for generative image creation / manipulation.
    http://www.generative-gestaltung.de/1/code

The last example doesn't use text actually but any collection of custom vector objects. It can be letters/characters, simple shapes, icons, logos etc.
What I additionally appreciate in this code package is the ability of PDF output, which maintains vector and lossless scaling.

I don't think that was a Affinity Designer issue. I think that was an OS issue.

This whole Right Click to smooth a node makes absolutely no sense to me. It (of course) brings up a menu; there is no other functionality.

You probably have a document containing Artboards.
You can think of each Artboard as kind of its own mini-document, in that each can have its own size. Therefore, setting an overall document size is no longer meaningful once you have an Artboard.
To change the size of an Artboard, you can select it in the Layers panel, and with the Move Tool active you can change the Artboard's size in the Transform panel.
