Fulgenl reacted to G13RL in How to take separate elements of a curve // Como coger elementos separados de una curva
Hi @Fulgenl, Select the set, "Layer", "Geometry", "Separate Curves".
You can then select the elements individually.

That is because the Curvas needs to be separated. Go to Layer > Geometry > Separate Curves.

Good you were right. I have closed and reopened and it has already warned me that they were missing, I have relink all the photos. But before it didn't tell me that there were files missing, and it's strange that some photos are missing and others aren't because they are all in the same folder and haven't been renamed. The fact that it worked, thank you very much

Preflight will let you know if one of your linked files is missing, can't be accessed etc
But I do not know if it will alert you when the file is actually present but you still get a low-res image for some (currently unknown) reason.
You may want to check that (Preflight) the next time it occurs

When you Open the .afpub file, do you get a prompt about missing resources? If so, you can choose Yes and if they are all in the same folder (directory) the application can relink them all at once. (This is improved in 1.10, where the Resource Manager also gets this function.)
I don't know why the connection is becoming broken in the first place.

Muchas gracias a ambos

Thank you both very much, I thought it was a bit with Adobe and like Affinity Designer.
I have already seen two ways to do it:
1 What you said Old Bruce, embed the file, and when I double click on it I can edit it.
2 If I copy the object from Affinity Designer into Publisher it transforms into a curve, which is closer to what I was looking for, as it works independently.
Thanks walt.farrell for the fx tip because you gave me an idea for another problem I had.
Many thanks to both of you

You have Placed that SVG file as a Linked file, which is a kind of container. And because it is an SVG file, and Linked, Publisher does not allow you to Edit it within Publisher.
You have three choices that I know of:
Open the SVG file in Designer, and make your changes, and Save the file.
or Change the file to Embedded, using the Resource Manager. Then you will have an Edit Document button on the Context Toolbar next to your Replace Document button. Click Edit Document, and switch to the Designer Persona (if necessary) in the new document tab, and make your changes. Then close the tab.
or Select the layer in Publisher, then click the "fx" icon at the bottom of the layer panel and add a Color Overlay layer effect. (This will only give you a single color, but if that's what you want it should work.) -
Fulgenl reacted to Old Bruce in No logro editar SVG en Affinity Publisher / I can't edit SVG in Affinity Publisher
Should be doable if it is an Embedded document, I you have a linked document so go to the Resource Manager, Document > Resource Manager... , and Embed it. Could also be a Pixel layer in an SVG file in which case you are out of luck.

Fulgenl reacted to Pšenda in Reescalar curvas / Rescaling curves
You're welcome.
Just please don't reply in the middle of another user's quoted post. Firstly, it's confusing (what is your reaction and what is the original post?), and then most of the time your reaction will be hidden - because no one is expecting it here, so they don't even have to notice it (see previous posts from MEB).

No problem. I also hadn't expanded the quote when I posted a link to my comment in the other thread.

Oh! I see now he has replied inside the quote which i didn't have expanded. All clear now. Thanks.

He said there is no problem when he does what is shown in his last screenshot. He didn't know that trick when making the original post.
-
Fulgenl reacted to MEB in Reescalar curvas / Rescaling curves
If he's doing what his last screenshot shows it should work fine, yes, that's why I'm asking for the file - I don't see where the problem is...

That's normal for the app, currently. See my post on 26 April.

Hi @Fulgenl,
Do you mind attaching part of the file (you can delete unrelated curves) so we can check what's going on please? Thank you.

Fulgenl reacted to lepr in Scale with Object
Setting/clearing "Scale with object" for a container object (a Group or Layer) does affect members of the container.
However, setting/clearing "Scale with object" for a non-container object does not affect children of the object.
So, to set "Scale with object" for all of your stroked objects, children included, first you must select all of these objects with Select > Select Object > Stroked Objects.

Fulgenl got a reaction from Chris B in Rendimiento de Affinity Photo con pinceles pésimo
Well, sorry, I didn't get the notice in the email and I didn't respond before.
Thanks for your trouble, it seems that with the Affinty Photo update I no longer have problems with my brushes.
Thank you very much

You can attach a file that passes you those errors and test them, in my two installations (1.7 and 1.8) and see if it happens in both
Thanks / Gracias

Hi Fulgenl,
Please accept my apologies on the delay in responding - we've had an incredible amount of issues come in that we are working out way through - it is not that you've been ignored.
With regards to the issues in your original post we've large improvements to Add, Subtract, Combine and Xor in 1.8.1 on Windows and 1.8.2 on Mac (there is still room for improvement with the Divide operation however). Looking at the second video, it looks like you may have had a different artboard selected when you did the Add operation which caused it to be moved onto that artboard. However without the file prior to the operation it is difficult to see what exactly is going on. If you would like to attach the one from the Bicycle example before you expand the stroke that would be helpful.
The issue shown in the first video here is something that was addressed in 1.8 - are you using 1.8 in that video? If not could you try 1.8 and see if it is now working for you. If it is not could you attach that example please?
The second video shown here is by design - you've used one of the pre designed shapes which are unique objects. The node tool can only be used to edit certain attributes of these shapes - for example how pointy Star shapes are. If you want to edit these like regular Curve objects with the node tool then you will first need to click on the 'Convert To Curves' button on the context toolbar with the shape selected. This will convert it to a shape (removing the ability to modify those special attributes). Please refer to this section of the documentation that explains how these shapes work:

Google Translate:
Hola fulgenl
