    Hi.

    There's several ways.
    I do it this way.

    1. Make a circle with the ellipse tool. Edit:  Then select the gradient tool.
    2. Select fill>gradient>bitmap.
    3. Navigate to the picture you want in the circle.
    4. Position the picture in the circle.
    5. Select the move tool (V)
    6. Apply a stroke.

JBW- Funny, I like what it does exactly, cutting off anything not part of the canvas. I export a lot of PDFs/images, and I often create artwork that extends past the edges. When I use iDraw, for instance, I have to see all that junk past the canvas. But I love how A.D. keeps it hidden.

A very easy option would be to include a toggle for "Show/Hide Canvas Mat" or something as such. But I do like how the mat around the canvas hides my mess :)

Reminds me of a scene from Full Throttle -- great mid 90s LucasArts PC game. Except the car would be a motorcycle.

Furi0usBee got a reaction from B4ttleCat in More RIGHT-CLICK Please!
I'm very much used to contextual clicking with my right button with all of my Mac apps. Usually when I'm stuck, a right-click can get you out of a jam. However, right-click functionality seems to be very limited here in Affinity. Would love me some more right-click!

Furi0usBee got a reaction from Raskolnikov in Several Suggestions To Make Affinity Better
    1. Right click is not used enough. For instance, right-clicking in the Layers panel doesn’t bring up any options, like merge layers/new layer/etc. More right-clicking would be helpful, as I'm really used to it with other apps I use.

    2. How do you make a dotted line? This one almost killed me!

    3. When I change “Document Setup” type to say “print”, and save the file, it always reverts back to “devices.”

    4. You need to uncheck “Show Toolbar” after each restart. Should remember choice between app starts, as I don't like the show the toolbar by default.

    5. In Edit menu, it would be nice to say what you are undoing… Undo Copy,… Undo Paste… For instance, Pixelmator will tell you the actual command you are undoing in the menu, which is helpful.

    6. The file extension is saved for every file. Most of my apps hide the extension by default. Would prefer the extension be hidden, because I have no use to see it since all my Affinity files would be in the Affinity folder I created.

    7. In Separated Mode, you cannot hide the Toolbar. Also, the “more” chevron for the toolbar which indicates “more” options when the bar is sized small, is not @2x resolution.

These are the minor issues I have, and maybe some are being addressed as I speak.

    Thanks,
    Bryan
