Thank's, it is so easy to make with the program and then just tweak it to the desired style.👍

FraGar reacted to StuartRc in Project Brush 10 Set 01 Leaf
Project Brush 10 Set 01 Leaf
Updated the brush set to Version 2 Should work much better now!
Project set renamed to Leaf so I can integrate the older vegetation sets
Changes/improvements as below
Version 2.0
1. Removed old versions redundant now..
2. Made significant changes to the brush dynamics and nozzles. All nozzles are now vector based replacing previous raster versions (as much as possible)
3. There is a significant number of new nozzles for the brushes Which means they are not like original sets..
4. Made use of the 1.7/1.8.2 brush engine in AD/AP using subBrushes.
5. The old brush set was appearing darker and less intense with 1.7/1.8 update...I have fixed that with this version!
6. Updated the Sample sheets to newer (latest) layout..Sub brushes are displayed in red.
7. No Base Textures in this brush set
Archived the Older Brush set and updated Library information

FraGar reacted to Archangel in Avebury Manor
Using Affinity photo, I managed to turn a source image into an illustration using the G'MIC plugin and HDR merge functions.
Used G'MIC Engrave and Autobalance, HDR Merge with dramatic tone map.

FraGar reacted to StuartRc in Vector Texture Toolkit: Ammonite II
Vector Texture Toolkit II: Ammonite II
Ammonite II background texture tool to create textured backgrounds using only vector elements.
As Rock Monster World Toolkit but with different vector elements! Same Procedure
Used in the background of Ammonite II
Contents
The Toolkit contains various elements to allow for the construction textured backgrounds using vectors but some aspects will need to be refined independently according to requirements (Size for instance!)
A. A set of simple styles that define transparency
B. Set of vectors (These are contained on a separate artboard)
C. A set of vector assets sub-dividend into 4 categories. (I was a bit concerned about the number of nodes here!...as their are compound paths included!)
D. A layout artboard with containing mask
E. An artboard containing irregular vector shapes. (and some textured compounds!)...does not reflect exactly the assets panel!
It will require a bit of experimentation to create what you need..
Export as bitmaps or Multiple artboard file to be re-imported to other files using the place tool
There are some 'basic' instructions included in the file
Sample images as below:

FraGar reacted to Kasper-V in Vintage-style petrol can
As usual, I made this for no good reason*. (Who needs a good reason to work with Affinity anyway?) Maybe I've watched to many of those TV shows where they find old junk and clean it up to make money. Whatever; this was made entirely from vectors apart from two jpeg textures applied to the can and one more to the cap.
* I just wanted to play with the lettering, and the can seemed a good vehicle for it. But if a job's worth doing . . .

FraGar reacted to StuartRc in Project Brush Thumbnail Poster in Publisher
Project Brush Thumbnails
Partially created for my artstation account, I have been building thumbnail icons for each of the project sets.
Using existing modified drawings whether vector or raster. The original size of each thumbnail was 400 x 400 mm.. Initially I created a Data Merge Template using a set of var{data} and spreadsheet image imports (wanted to see how easy it was to add AD files to Data Merge)
On the back of that I created a A1 Poster in Publisher:

FraGar got a reaction from Kasper-V in Pattern layers and cross-your-eyes stereo
Try to blink a few times when yor eyes are crossed, this often helps to see the "3d effekt" (or at least for me)

FraGar reacted to Kasper-V in Pattern layers and cross-your-eyes stereo
I came across a book from the 1990s of stereograms -- those weird patterns where if you crossed (or diverged) your eyes you would eventually see a solid three-dimensional image. Or not: some people could never manage it. But it made me think I might make something similar with APhoto layers. Here's a couple of fairly successful efforts. I created a pattern layer based on a rectangle of a particular width with images clipped inside, then another layer on top with a wider rectangle. A fair bit of trial and error was involved too!
To view the effect, look at the image from a comfortable distance, then cross your eyes until two humbugs or dolls overlap. With a little practice, you'll find the details suddenly come into focus and you'll see three layers at different depths. (In fairness, I must admit that a few people never get the hang of it, so if it doesn't work for you, it's no fault of your own. But try again in an hour or tow, or a day or two: sometimes it's easier than others.)

Project Brush 23: Ink
A bit more work on this project. Needed an ink pattern set to help with the ink drawings.
1. Edited the base patterns converting them to black and white (mostly!) and adjusting the scale for each pattern
2. Resized brushes
3. Removed Accumulation and Jitter and reset flow values
