All, Thank you for all of the suggestions; I tried but nothing worked. As a last resort, I reset the brushes using Ctrl Click to open the program. That resolved the issue! This is a great forum, I hope to be able to contribute soon! Thank you all again, G

When applying a black mask to the Low Frequency Layer in Affinity Photo, the mask appears as a transparent layer. I have tried on both 1.7.2 and 1.7.3 with the same results. Any idea what the cause may be? Attached is a screenshot of the Affinity Photo window. Thanks!
