  1. So I am having great difficulties with this. I tried to trick it by doing it through a URL process and insert balancesheets/apple/budget.numbers to get to the file I wanted. But in the PDF the "http:" is added in and opens a browser. If I do it the way from the FILE selected process, then the link will be broken as the program wants the absolute path from a volume IE a drive or desktop and even if I chose ignore and continue it breaks the link or doesn't include it in the PDF. If I could hit Ignore and continue and it added the path, maybe that would fix the problem. This is the problem... and it needs to be fixed by the Affinity staff. I am sure it is an easy coding fix in the program to make this function actually perform correctly.
  2. The tutorial doesn't go over linking files very well. So it would be nice if they look into this. The Bottom line is I want to zip up the package and sub folders with the files, that would be linked from the pdf. So when it is unpackaged on a desktop or anywhere, the links work, like how a website would be linked. It would essentially act the same way. I can have my website on my drive, desktop and where ever, or upload it to a server, and the links work in all instances the same. That is what I am trying to essentially achieve. Otherwise I could host all my files online and link it from a http address and it would work that way, but then, the user always has to have an online connection. Which in this day and age, is probably not a major inconvenience to most people.
  3. Yes and that is the problem with the linking procedure. Regardless it shouldn't matter if it is on my SD card or on my Drive or on a USB it should link from the proper folder I want it to link from, and I should be able to edit the path properly, but it won't allow me. With Adobe Acrobat the product is already in PDF and I use their linking tool and it works from linking file right from the folder the PDF is in to the folder I have my files organized. This is a bit different where you export the file after, but I should still be able to have the path go from, wise budget folder to videos folder, to video A or B or C etc, if I want. But if you edit the path then it recognizes that as a broken link. I have troubled shooter all possible scenarios from editing links to trying to keep the product in the same folder to having the file export as a side card and see if it links. I think the linking files feature just needs to be better implemented with an update.
  4. Yes what I want was when I exported it to my desktop the first time to test it it was there, but I deleted it, I realized. And exported it again for the video. Bottom line, I can't link files from the root folder into a folder where I organize videos and files. It doesn't work. That is the main problem, and I hope the developers look at this and come up with a solution.
  5. Thats just apple's marketing message from my desktop saying the could is full. This has nothing o do with iCloud so get that whole idea out of the picture. If your iCloud is full as it backs up from your desktop it likes to nag at you like your mother.
  6. Its from my SD Card my iCloud is full but has nothing to do with this.
  7. This Video Works, I posted this on the bug thread, I wish I could edit the main video but I don't know how. Its too much to explain. supportvid.mp4
  8. Video does cut out at about 3:25. I redid the video and it is all there in this reply. (If the staff wants to edit this post to make it the initial post with the correct video to not waist peoples time, please do! Sorry for the inconvenience. supportvid.mp4
  9. Attached is a video showing the crash I experience as well the troubles I am having linking a file. I would like to be able to link files within subfolders as well from the main folder so I can organize files respectably and link them as a package download. supportlinking.mp4
  10. View Video I Uploaded Illustrating Linking File Issues. I will also include this in a bug and fix issue topic. supportlinking.mp4
