  1. I am attempting to crop a photo to a custom ration, but have a question about the process. The first attached photo shows the area on the image after I have entered in my custom ratio targets. I want to move the highlighted area to a more centered position in the image prior to applying the crop. I thought a way to do this was to tap and drag in the image. Unfortunately, that just makes a new crop selection, as seen in the second photo. Is it possible to set a custom ration, reposition the soon to be cropped area within the image boundary, then hit Apply? I am using an Ipad pro with updated iOS, and AP on iPad is running version 1.8.3. Thanks for the help!
  2. Thank you all for the great suggestions! I do know about the iPad forum @walt.farrell, but thank you for the helpful tip. I realized this was the AP desktop forum right after clicking submit on the query, and could not find a delete option for my question. Thank you @smadell that looks like a promising option. The attached image was not created in AP, but is a photograph of my traditional watercolor paintings. @Lagarto thank you also for the help. I have used the flood selection tool aa bit, but your expertise will likely prove very useful. Again, thanks to all who shared their knowledge!
  3. I am using AP for iPad. I am a watercolorist and have found AP a really great tool for editing photos of paintings for print reproduction. I do have one issue with which I am hoping to get a bit of help. I want to select my painted image and drop it in a new white background. Many of my images feature a lot of exposed white paper, in addition to a painted watercolor image. Having a new, white background to drop my painted image on gets rid of the possibility that my edited and printed end product will show small variances in exposure, or off color lighting cast, which may appear very subtly in white areas of the digital image. The AP Smart Select tool doesn’t seem able to follow the line nuance of a painting. Erase white paper is sometimes capable of the task, but sometimes isn’t as successful. Hue or Tonal range selection also seem unsuited to the task. I have attached an image for reference. Thank you any assistance!
