  1. Gosh. So I've been waiting for several years for there to be an option to set the PDF export area in Affinity Publisher to "All Pages" instead of "All Spreads" as the default, or at least have it set as the default in a custom export preset. I can see posts from as far back as 2018 asking for that. I just tried the Affinity Publisher 2 trial, thinking surely all those people asking for this weren't ignored. Well, they were. There's still no way to do it. If you're working with many files, you're going to be in pain before long. I would have considered paying for the upgrade, but not now...

  3. I can see people asking about this since 2018!!! It is mid 2023 now and there is still no way to save the "Area - All pages" as a default nor is there an option to be able to save this in a custom preset. Tried to find a config file, in case there was a hack to fix this "bug". Reading lots of other posts, I can see this is a huge time waster for many people, bit of RSI anybody? I won't be upgrading to Affinity Publisher 2, looks like it's back to an InDesign subscription for me.
  4. Still there in 1.10.5. As the software seems to remember pretty much every other setting, should this be classed as a bug spanning multiple versions? I also had a rummage around in the publisher folder, just in case I could come up with a config hack, but found nothing.
  5. Just to answer my own question... no, it fails. So am un-installing 1.8 and will re-install 1.7.3 from scratch.
  6. Hi I am finding Publisher 1.8 impossible to use due to bugs and crashes on PC. Can I install 1.7.3 over 1.8? Or do I have to un-install? Thanks Mr M
  7. Hi This is driving me potty... I have created a document in Affinity Publisher. I have created a 2 page master and added page numbering to the outer corners. I have also created a single page homepage master (without numbering), a 2 page index page (without numbering) and a further 2 page master for the rest of the document (with numbering). So my layout is: Homepage (homepage master) with no numbers. 2 page index (index master) with no numbers. 2 page - repeated throughout the rest of the document (numbered master) with numbers. I set my page numbering to start on page 4 within the Section manager. Yet, my page 4 is actually numbered '7' and page 5 is numbered '8' Did I do something wrong? Mr M
