Perspective grid an plane to create the illusion of depth

@Ben Is it possible to create these perspective tools as guides or rulers that don't change or distort an existing object, but constrain the fabrication of new ones? If it were possible to create, and then lock these guides, similarly to Autodesk Sketchbook, then it would just be a constraint.
