  1. Thank you, @NathanC I think when I am in editing text mode (blinking |) — it's ok that I cannot place images. But when I just select text object by move tool (V), that's look strange. Look at this case: I have many objects in my page, selected text object somewhere, and try to place image, and can't. It's maybe very disappointing.
  2. When selected artistic ore frame text object and try to place something, in Place dialog window all objects are inactive. 1. New doc 2. Type Artistic or Frame text. 3. Esc to exit from edit text mode 4. Open Place dialog window 5. Try to place something AND this don't work in Photo 2.2 and in Beta
  3. May be you make blank mask for 1st layer, I tried that now, and drag mask to another layer works fine. But If you select your drawing by cmd-click on layer thumbnail and create mask, try to drag and hover it on another layer. I got crashed app
  4. 1. Create New doc 2. Draw something on new layer, select it and create Mask 3. Make another layer and draw something 4. Drag mask from 1st layer to 2nd 5. Crash Note: If first release mask from menu or drag it to release, and than drag to 2nd layer — it work fine macOS 13.4.1 / ARM-64 / Affinity Photo 2 Beta 2.2.0 (1903)
  5. Affinity Photo Beta 2.2.0 (1903) 1. Create new document or open existing 2. Place JPG 3. Replace image (select another JPG, click Open) 4. Crash macOS 13.4.1 / ARM-64
  6. Oh, man, thank you very much! Great job (how you doing that?))! File looking mostly good, some corrections needed, but it's great! Waiting for tomorrow for Serif guys answer, maybe they can completely recover my file. Thank you again!
  7. Local, but now i try to save it to cloud storage, because it have versions. See what happen.
  8. I'm back with the same problem (nearly). After I got problems with broken files, which I describe earlier I'm installed latest Beta version of AP, and it's work great, no crashes o freezes. But I making some copies of my working file (just in case), and then i forgot to make copies for about 3-4 days. And it happens again, my file is broken! I'm just press save file and got this message: "Failed to open document. The file appears to be corrupted." When I pressed OK (only one button in this message), file is closed and not opened any more. (I'm attached this file to message) I'm working in Affinity from first releases and be happy to switch from InDesign, and never had this issue with broken files. Why this happens now? Can anybody help me? Maybe this problem on M1 Macs? I have MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020), Big Sur 11.2.3. Publisher 1.9.4.1082. Maybe it because of enabled FileVault on my Mac? I think Affinity must make autosave with some versions of file (5-10), and this was fix this problem for a while. svok_catalog_200x270_2021_34.afpub

The file is a linked file, but the parent file could not be found." Somebody help me, please, don't want to remake 200 pages for tomorrow (

  13. I use this hack: make object, colour it with Global colour, convert it to Text Frame, place text into it. Now I can change bg colour by editing Global colour. I think it's the easiest way for today.
