  1. The second main reason why I want to switch to Mac is my second hobby: making music. There is no good alternative to Logic Pro for me. So it will be a Mac either way, especially because it also fits my iPad and iPhone better. However, 16GB would be enough for Logic and everything else, i am doing with my computer. So it is 500 € only for creating larger Publisher-Projects.
  2. Thank you for your feedback so far! I was hoping, Macs would handle the existing RAM better than Windows PC. But Apple doesn't let RAM be so expensive for no reason. So I will probably have to spend a little more money...
  3. Hi! I would like to switch back from Windows to the Mac world soon and have the following question: I regularly create larger photo books (100+ pages and more) in Affinity Publisher and am unsure whether a MacBook i5 with 16GB RAM is sufficient or whether I have to invest the € 500 extra in 32 GB RAM. Is there someone here who works on larger publisher projects with his MacBook and can tell me about his experience with the system requirements / system performance? Thank you!
  4. Which systems do more professional users use? Maybe that's the better question ... or „Do other users have the same issues like me?“
  5. I‘ve got a ssd installed (it‘s a surface pro 2017 with 256GB) and after a longer waiting time it is used as „virtual memory“. But placing new content nevertheless isnt drag and drop. it is more like drag and wait 10 to 15 seconds and drop.
  6. They are already linked. Linked JPGs. I think it's mostly RAM size and / or the processor could have more power..
  7. Hi! I recently bought Affinity Publisher. I am currently working on a photo yearbook as an first project. I am currently on page 72 and have already processed about 200 photos. "Affinity Publisher" is still working, but adding new pages on my i5-7200 8GB RAM-Laptop is now very slow and tedious. I am now thinking about buying a desktop PC again and wondering, what a good system would be for similar future projects. I don't need a high end system, just something that works well for Affinity Publisher without getting any performance issues. Any Tipps?
