Thanks for the good reply. It is very important function but I think it is a poor choice of name... If healing brush is not suitable outpaint is more what your inpaint is about. Just a thought, no need to reply

Thanks. It works. Just for my education, what is the inpainting brush for if it doesn't work i/e/ it drowse the shape but the shape disappears instantly after completion

Just to let you know, I have been trying with any option I could and followed such suggestions as restarting the app, restarting the computer changing bruch mode to normal and to basic/ Nothing really work

Nothing help. started over, can't paint, tried everything I can draw a line but it disappears as soon as I finish it.

Thanks for caring so much. Nearly 10 days after problem started and Capture one still didn't acknowledged my support request.... I think Microsoft support did some corrections but for the most part reinstalled windows without needing to start all over again. They were good and efficient. Thank you Walt. Your efforts are much appreciated. Obviously it is a Windows problem however I have contacted tech support from affinity, DXO and Capture1, all are suffering from same issue but only you have responded so far. As said, much appreciate.

Mover from win 7 to Win10. installed affinity fine. When trying to start a message appears saying .NET Framework is missing V4 sending me to the application developer... Strange thing, it is there as a part of windows 10. Checked the registry and it is indeed there @ v.4.8. tried to reinstall it but was blocked. Now I can't use Affinity photo. Any advice how to overcome this problem
