The text, insert, page break option works best for me. However, it would be nice to be able to break the text flow links to certain pages. All it seems to do it leave a blank page and continue the same flow on the next page. Odd that.

Welcome to Affinity Forums,
There's no way to change the document background colour. Just do as FLOKK suggested. If you are referring to the pasteboard (the area around the canvas) go to Affinity Designer -> Preferences, User Interface tab and change the Backgroud Gray Level slider.

I have been working on a fairly long document, about 55,000 words. If I type in a sentence, perhaps just 10 words, it’s more than one and a half minutes before the sentence is entered into the page. A few corrections might mean another minute’s wait. It’s ridiculous. I have had to go back to InDesign on this document until something improves.

Yes, I agree, this is a feature I use frequently in InDesign and would like to see it added in Affinity Publisher. Thanks.
