id like to select e.g. the blue box. I was used to select and add/substract by clicking on thumbnails selection affnity.pdf selection photshop.pdf

hey, I currently working on my first project finally with affinity photo. but, there are still some workflow issues, which I can't figure out, how to solve them. how do I subtract a selection by clicking on a layers thumbnail. here is an example: with photoshop I was used to cmd + shift + click on the layers thumbnail and to subtract the selection from other layers cmd + opt + click (there was I little (-) icon) thanks

I just switched from PS to Affinity, but sadly the change-over is not as easy as I expected it to be. Lets say, I want to place a tree behind a house. Ill mask the tree in the shape of the house. Now I want to move or transform the tree in a certain way, but the mask should stay in place. If I do that, the mask transforms as well. In Photoshop I could easily disconnect layer and mask, how do I do it with Affinity Photo?
