Thanks for your help, but tab didn't help Will attach a screen shot - can't see the site strip with the document menu anywhere

I want to resize some photos, so I found a handy tutorial here; https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/309876656/ The nice man says I have to go to the document menu, where I will find the resize tool. Sounds simple However, when I open my photo, that white strip where the document menu lives is not there. It just simply isn’t there, no matter what I do I would be very grateful for any suggestions - thanks
