  1. I can also access Topaz studio 2 and use a few of the controls (some don't seem to work), but all the presets are empty. If I open it as a standalone, all the presets are there.
  2. Did you try going to the purchased section of the app store and find designer and press install? That's how I managed to get the update.
  3. Just updated designer and photo to 1.8.2 on the app store. Publisher is still on 1.8.1, so the three apps do not work together. Any indication when publisher will update?
  4. After updating all three, studiolink is requesting that I purchase designer. All three programs have been updated and opened. Not sure if the problem is with designer being 1.8.1, and publisher and photo are 1.8.0. Photo is being activated through studiolink.
  5. Didn't see any updates either. Ended up going to the purchased tab in the app store, found both affinity photo and designer, and they both had install buttons instead of open. Hit the install button and the new version installed.
  6. Probably installed it wrong, but the plugin version has no looks in the add look drawer. The stand alone has many.
  7. Ahhhhh, mystery solved! Thanks Paul. I always work in RGB in photo, but was using publisher in cymk. I never realized there was a difference. Always good to know something new! Thanks again.
  8. Not sure if this is a bug, but using curves in publisher and the other personas are opposite of how they work in the individual photo and designer apps. In the apps, if I pull down the curve, the image darkens. In publisher and the personas, pulling the curve down makes the image lighter. Perhaps it is some setting that I'm missing on my system, a bug, or just the way things work. I checked this topic on the board, but couldn't find one, so apologies if this has already been addressed.
  9. If one goes to the actual application, is there a way to return to publisher with the adjusted artwork, or does one need to save, exit the app and import it into publisher?
  10. Same issue on the mac side. There is not even a greyed out list. Everything fine when using photo as a stand alone.
  11. Not sure I understand what you mean by square effect. Maybe attach the photo here so it will be easier to solve the problem.
  12. If you have the shape above your photo, just right click on the rectangle and choose mask to below. Then click on the rectangle layer and go to effects>gaussian blur.
  13. While there may be a better way of doing this, take the box tool and create a box to cover the part of the photo you want. (basically, where you want the photo to fade). Make sure the box is black. (you can do the same thing with an oval). Drag the box layer down over the photo layer until you see a vertical blue line. (not the horizontal one). Go to effects and crank up the gaussian blur. you should now have the effect you're looking for.
  14. Keep in mind it is working on the newest beta, not the newest regular release.
  15. Seems like all google nik filters are working with the newest beta. No more updating fonts!
  16. Looks like the old google NIK is working with the newest beta! No more updating fonts!
  17. Just wondering if it is possible to see what's in the bleed area when using artboards? On regular documents, I can see the contents on the bleed area and then hide them if I want. With artboards, I can see the bleed outline, but not the contents. Thanks in advance.
  18. Anthropics and Topaz Studio cause photo to immediately crash upon launch. Filter Forge opens, but crashes after applying. All three worked without problems on all previous beta versions.
  19. Not sure which forum to post this in, but edit-in designer to photo works no problem, but photo to designer doesn't. Window opens..."Failed to open file. The file could not be parsed." This is using designer 1.7.0.11 and photo 1.7.0.123.
