Hi, from your suggestion I Option-click on the red button at the bottom of the 3rd column of the 1st page and I get the next two pages. I start again at the bottom of the 3rd page 3rd column and I get the next two pages. It works, but I would have liked all of the text to go in one flow from the first Option-click like the user manual says the software does. Thank you anyway.

I'm trying to import about 40 paragraph styles and 5 or 6 character styles from another Publisher document, but even though the styles names are there, the characteristics of the styles don't match. For example: the original normal style is MinionPro normal 9 but the one that goes in the new document is MInionPro Caption 9, for another style I got ModernMd Condensed italic 7.5 rather than 9. I have to revise all styles to every document I create.

Yes, this is the first thing I tried, but the links on the subsequent pages weren't tracking correctly. I will try again and it will work or I will be more specific in the problems I encounter. If ever my difficulties interest you, I will open a new topic about importing styles ... Thank you anyway.

Hello to both of you, Thank you for getting back to me quickly. You helped me find a solution. . I realize that with Publisher, we are far from the possibilities of InDesing. So far, I haven't figured out how to link all the pages from the Layouts yet. I solved my problem by linking the text boxes column by column on the Master pages, then linking the pages two by two manually. Disappointing.

Hello, I would like to place a text in three columns where I could manage each separately. If I put the text in three columns, the text area links from page to page and not from column to column (image 1). If I play smart and put three text boxes on my page where I inserted column guides, when I extend the text in automatic placement, it refuses to follow to three columns per page; I end up with one column per page (image 2). Is there a way to have three independent columns per page?

Si je place le texte en trois colonnes, la zone de texte, elle, se lie de page en page et non de colonne en colonne (image 1). Si je joue au malin et que je pose trois zones de texte sur ma page où j'ai inséré des guides de colonnes, au moment où je prolonge le texte en placement automatique, il refuse de suivre à trois colonne par page; je me retrouve avec une colonne par page (image 2). Y a-t-il moyen d'avoir trois colonnes indépendantes par page ? Merci.

I'm a beginner on Publisher, but I was an usual Indesing user. Now, from a template with three columns I try to place text. I import text from a Word file. First, the columns disappears, second, a strange icon seems to be the tool to place text, but Publisher close before I do anything. I've try to place text on Pages or on Master pages, I got the same problem. Somebody have an idea ? Thanks.

Yes, everything you say is true, but if Affinity Publisher want to pretend to be a real pro tool, it must "run" behind Apple, be able to let easily open .indd files and give open solutions to dictionnary and grammatical tools like Antidote in french and others in any languages (in addition, of course, the other practical solutions proposed on the forum).

Hi ! I published for many years with InDesing. Now, with Catalina on my Mac, I decided to use Publisher. But I need to be able to open all my .indd files, plus I need to use the best French corrector : Antidote. In short, I wait from Affinity two things : 1) to built Publisher with a .indd open filter, 2) to be able to use Antidote. In my opinion, before this tools are usable, it is hard to do professional work with Publisher.
