Hi, As the title explains, I am experiencing consistent crashes in Publisher 2 & Designer 2 when trying to export multiple PDFs. I can export one PDF without an issue, but when I try to repeat the process after making a small change to the same document (different background colour), both Designer & Publisher crash after I hit the export button. This was happening in 2.1 and is also now unfortunately continuing in 2.2. What Application are you using? Publisher 2 & Designer 2Are you using the latest release version? YesCan you reproduce it? YesDoes it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? Yes Is anyone else also experiencing this? Thanks, Jack

Hi Dan, Thank you for getting back to me. After multiple system restarts, the program suddenly started to perform as it used to without the extreme levels of lag. If this happens again, I will post here with the details requested above, but hopefully, it was just some weird glitch with my system. I did have a recent Windows update around that time, so perhaps something went wrong there. Cheers, Jack

Hi, I am experiencing extreme levels of brush lag in Designer 2. Any ideas what could be going on? I have tried changing the performance/acceleration options, but nothing seems to help. What Application are you using? Designer 2 Are you using the latest release version? Yes Can you reproduce it? Yes Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? Yes What is your operating system and version Windows 10 v22H2 Build: 19045.3448 Is hardware acceleration (in Preferences > Performance) ON or OFF ? (and have you tried the other setting?) Have tried both What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) Extreme brush lag - unusable performance Video attached: Affinity Designer Brush Lag.mp4 Thanks, Jack

Sorry for the delay in replying to this! - I figured out one issue I was also having with regard to the objects disappearing when made into a constraint group. I have not yet reproduced the other errors as I have been able to do what I need for now, but I will update here when I revisit this document and if/when the problem reoccurs. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before. I couldn't find a similar answer for my particular issue, but I am sure I have had this problem before and can't remember how to solve it. When arranging 2 groups/images on a page/artboard, how can I mirror the movements of the 2 shapes so that they move in opposite directions at the same time? E.g. both groups moving inwards or outwards simultaneously. (example in attached photo). Thank you, Jack

Hi, Aplogies if this is more sraightforward than I am making it, I just want to use the best method going forwards. I am using Affinity Publisher to create invoices and I have a template that I use and update with each new invoice before exporting a new PDF file. As I would like to save a version of each invoice pre-export, so that I can revisit and edit if needed, I just wanted to ask what the best way to save each versions of these files would be. I know that I could just save a new .af file with each invoice, but just wanted to see if there is a better way, or one that keeps all versions within one file. I have entertained the following options; different sections/pages within Publisher, renaming layers to match each invoice, artboards for each invoice, snapshots. Which way would be best? Is there a way to archive pages and/or have section names clearly displayed in the pages panel in Publisher. Thank you for any advice. Jack

Hi, I recently noticed when using the recolour adjustment, it gives you the colours on a degree scale with saturation and lightness options underneath. Everything else in the app works with HEX codes or RGB/HSL/CMYK etc sliders. Is there a reason for this? It seems to make recolouring to a set value, very difficult. Does anyone know if you can set a recolour adjustment to a HEX value (or other RGB/HSL etc) or how the degree scale translates to these other formats? Thank you

Request: Auto Select All Child Layers
HydroJLW replied to HydroJLW's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
I would like it to be able to select all of the child layers within a group, so that they all become individually selected and so that I can edit them all simultaneously. So, using the attached image as an example: I would like to be able to click on the 'dots' group in the layer panel and then have a menu option to select all child layers within that group so that they all become highlighted/active and are then editable together. Currently I am having to either click-drag to select them, or select the first child layer of a group and ctrl+shift clicking them all manually, which works, but can become problematic in some situations, particularly with large numbers of objects/shapes in a group. Having a menu option to use as well would make it a lot less fiddly. It would also be great to have an option for groups that have multiple sub-groups. To be able to actively select a number or all of the child layers within these groups and make them simultaneously editable would be a lot less fiddly in certain situations. For example, you could select 7 out of 12 layer groups in the layer panel, then go to a menu option that lets you select all of the individual child layers simultaneously from these selected groups. Hope that all makes sense!
