Yes!! Super glad I can finally share this Music Video Visuals with Character Animations now. Put a lot of work, time and effort into this one and had to 'kill many darlings' during the process, but with no regrets!
Design and Illustrations were all made in Affinity Designer. Also the new Spiral tool was great for doing the inner wound tapes! That tool arrived just in time!
Animation was completely done in Moho 14 Pro. I've made and audio mastered the music, and also programmed Moho plugin scripts to use the Affinity Designer Spine JSON export to export all graphics as trimmed PNG's and import these with all auto-positioning into Moho quickly and easily. I've also written a script to animate the tape deck by keyframing on speed and accelerations instead of animating on angles.

I spent the last weekend creating a tool to convert Adobe suite .grd gradient files to .afpalette files for use in the Affinity suite.
There are so many great resources for gradients out there but no easy way to get them into Affinity applications without a lot of manual labour.
The tool is hosted on GitHub (the Javascript code is available for the curious), but all processing is done in your browser. No files are uploaded anywhere.

There are a few limitation around colourspace (RGB only) and transparency (not supported), and I have not tested with a huge number of .grd files. It works for what I needed 🙂
I have been very pleased with Affinity Photo, I recently updated it to version2.
I have Affinity Photo 2.0.4.msix installed on my Windows 10 computer. I am unable to access it from my Lightroom 5 software as an external editor.
1. Is there any way I can get Affinity Photo 2.0.4 msix to work as an external editor in Lightroom 5?
2. If I uninstall Affinity Photo 2.0.4 msix and install the msi version, will Lightroom recognise it as an external editor?
3. Which is the best method of uninstalling Affinity Photo 2.0.4 msix in order to install the msi version?
I'm using Designer with a cheap Wacom Intuos. While drawing with the vector brush tool, sometimes it will get stuck on that tool and won't let me click anything. I can still draw, but can't change anything, or click another tool, layer, change color... can't access the file menus or anything. If I minimize the app, then bring it back up, I can click everything again. Not sure off-hand if there is something specifically triggering this lockup. I have three artboards at the moment. Haven't noticed any pattern. Sometimes I'll switch between using the mouse and the pen. Not much more I can think of to report on that. Will keep an eye out if it happens again.

I'm also having this issue.
I'm using the Mac v1.7.2.
I can confirm that I get stuck when using the Hand Tool by using the shortcuts to zoom out: alt+space and click to zoom out.
It's not consistent, but it does happen often. It's very frustrating when trying to get into the flow of work. I wish there was a way to get out of it without rebooting the program.
UPDATE: Reading through other postings in this forum regarding the same issue, I ran across the When-this-happens-just-hit-the-space-bar solution. It works great and doesn't interrupt work flow. It was the solution I was looking for.
Sometimes when I am in the View Tool (Hand) and want to use a different tool, selecting the tool or my short cut for a tool does not respond no matter how long I try to change tools. In the past I have quit Designer and started again. This time I tried turning on "Use SHFT modifier to cycle tools" in the Tools Preference pane. This did the trick. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a better way of correcting it?
What happens in that scenario depends on your Assistant Manager settings. Sounds like you want this setting, but have chosen one of the other options:
I just tried this with the Crayon Box brushes, and they act as Erase Brush Tools as long as you select the Brush you want, and then switch to the Eraser, if you have this setting selected.
It would be really helpful to have the option to choose a specific DPI/PPI, in both desktop and iPad versions. At the team I'm working at I need to export to SVG and send it to a coworker, only so he can then open it in Photoshop and export it to PNG in the right DPI. It's a tedious process. In so many ways, the Affinity applications are fully competitive with Adobe, but this little detail makes a PS license necessary.

Ive always enjoyed the Affinity Photo Video Tutorials. You do a much better job than A@0&3! When you brought out V2 I updated. Yes, you've added some valuable shortcuts and streamlined tool layout.
For around 5 years your customers have been begging for a DAM product. I was sooooo hoping AP V2 would at least bridge some of that gap. I often shoot in my studio using the same backdrop, same exposure and same studio light set up. Prior to moving the AP, I would make adjustments across a group of raw image files using something like Bridge. Adjustments like exposure, file info (metadata edits, copyright notice, etc) saturation, white balance and the like. I still don't see anyway to perform these initial camera raw edits to multiple files at once in AP V2.
I've explored the File/New Batch Job tool. Although it allows for the use of Macros, who wants to write a custom macro overtime editing a group of Raw files? What am I missing? Sure appreciate your insights.
I design print magazines and one of the key things I do before layouts is convert all images to 300 dpi. This is necessary to insure images will be used at appropriate sizes in layout and pass preflight reviews before going to press. Otherwise, a low-res image used at 100% "size" will appear far larger than it should for a print layout. If used, it would print as a blurry, blocky mess.
In Adobe, I use Bridge and Photoshop. I created a simple Action in Photoshop to change only the dpi of the image. Bridge then lets me batch process images quickly.
I've attempted to create a similar Macro in Affinity Photo 2 with no success. It shows a save of "document properties" but that's essentially it. And since I can't create a macro that does that one thing, I can't use the Batch tool to process a group of images.
Seems to work okay for me, see attached image and document, but I’m not entirely sure what you want.
Can you explain more about what you are trying to achieve?
I noticed that after converting fonts to curves and trying to use the shape builder it gives an error.
But when creating similar intersections with curves made with some shapes this error does not happen.
The tool is not selecting the areas correctly. Look the first video, when i hover on the green part of the C he selects the yellow part too and when a hover on the terminal of the C he also selects another part at the bottom
Very new to Photo, actually purchased today after rewatching some YouTube videos from JCristina and making up my mind.
I learned how to create new Categories of brushes and rename them just by playing around a bit. However, it doesn't seem like you can move a Category into another Category. Say there are 12 different brushes I'd like to import that all deal with Patterns. Each brush gets put into its own category vs me being able to group them into one group called Patterns and keeping the Brushes dropdown a bit cleaner.
Is there some way bring brushes into a single group of my choosing vs each one getting its own group ?

In the file below all the balloons, I will like to have as rollovers with animated sounds Voice to bring my #DigiMag 2 life.
A video import option would be great, whether thats streaming video from Vimeo or actually inserted into the document. Then being able to output as a PDF and send to clients would be invaluable. I appreciate it would create larger files but this is way better option that filling a document full of links.
