Thank you for the feedback! I was able to narrow it down to vector text in a placed PDF being rasterised. It does not rasterise if the text is "editable" or interpreted from PDF. (But that does mean some funny changes in appearance!) Native text is also not rasterised. So the problem needs to be redefined as "Booklet Printing Rasterising Text in Placed Passthrough PDFs".

It is just on my local storage (internal nvme ssd)!

Hello everyone! I have discovered that APub rasterises text when using the Booklet output option in the print dialogue box. I am used to using Booklet > Save as PDF for my workflow but I need the text to remain vector based. (I am printing to a production printer that [Konica Minolta C3080] that does much better when rasterising text on its own.) For my last job I imposed the pages manually to avoid this issue. Is there a way to do booklet imposition without rasterising text? Thank you!

I would like to report a minor nuisance with the Data Merge feature and that is: Every time you click Generate you get a dialogue window explaining that the data source has been modified and needs to be updated. This happens every single time regardless of the data source file status! Thank you!

Hello all, I just want to report a bug I found in Data Merge (one of my favourite APub features!). When inserting the Merge: <index> field the placeholder does not show in the document. The results do show correctly in the merged result however so the feature can still be used. That is all! Thank you!

Hello everyone! I am seeing a very slow response when trying to select a colour when editing text. I don't know if this issue is new with 1.10.4 but I certainly do not remember seeing it before. I was demonstrating AP to a friend and I could not select the text colour during the session. (I thought it was not responding at all and multiple clicks only made it flash on the screen!) Hello everyone, Just a small interface glitch that can slow down ones work...When clicking the shape tool in Publisher it does not select, one has to hold for a moment of click the arrow and choose a shape from the submenu. This feature is called Data Merge in English. Blank line removal would be a very useful feature. I have posted about this here:

Hello everyone, I would like to suggest that Publisher's Data Merge feature be enhanced with the ability to remove blank entries. However, simply removing the blank line for a text merge can leave some messy things behind. I have an idea that we could use a special markup to tell Publisher what to remove with a blank field. That is, we define "field units" with double braces {{ }}. That way the whole "field unit" can be removed if a field is empty. Case 1: "<field1> <field2>" Simple blank removal results for empty field1 (note the space before field2) : " <field2>" Proposed "smart" solution using special notation: "{{<field1> }}<field2>" Results: "<field2>" Case 2: {{<field1> }}<field2>{{ <field3>}} <field5> {{<field4> or if you prefer: }}<field5> Here we have the option to choose to remove some text adjacent to a field (field4) and remove a line break before a field (field3) and preserve the line break (field5). A simple "Remove blank lines" checkbox would not take into account cases where you might like a line break preserved when a field is missing. I hope this makes sense!

Hello! When duplicating an object by option+dragging snapping does not work. One has to release the object and then drag it to activate snapping. (This problem occurs in Photo and Publisher too.) I encountered this problem today. 100 steps is really not enough for levels. (I was trying to match two images.) As a reference Photoslop uses 256 steps... So I am adding my vote for this enhancement.

Hello Dan, Thanks for the update! I tried the new beta and the behaviour is the same. However, I did discover that the problem seems to be related to Separated Mode. (I need to use Separated Mode because I have to refer to other applications while I am working.) When Separated Mode is off, the presets apply pretty consistently.

Hello Dan, I do not notice any difference in behaviour when the second monitor is unplugged.

Yes the last line was in fact a separate paragraph, oops! The behaviour still seems a bit strange to me though. In other DTP programs the line indents are relative to the paragraph indents such that you need to set a negative value to have the first line move "outside" the paragraph. Well, maybe I will get used to it...

Hello all, Paragraph indents should be independent of the first line indent and last line outdent settings. Or the first line indent and last line outdent settings should be _relative_ to the indent settings. Hello everyone, The dropcap feature doesn't work with centre justified text. So this is a bug report or feature request, however you would like to see it! Obviously, the dropped capital should be flush with the text and not pushed to the edge of the text frame. Happy new year!

Double-clicking does not change the behaviour for me. If I quit Photo and launch it afresh, the preset will apply the first time I click it but subsequent attempts will have no effect. Thank you for the feedback!

Unfortunately, my Wacom tablet no longer functions in MacOS 11 so I am using a mouse and a Magic trackpad. (Both do the same thing with presets BTW.) Attached is a video of what is happening. Thank you for the help! presets.mp4
