  1. Hi, just acquired a new PC, Windows 11. I have signed out from affinity on my old PC but on my new PC I always get a timeout trying to register or sign in, I have tried turning the firewall off and uninstalling the old copy to no avail .... any pointers please, I was hoping to connect up my account and get the downloads the easy way. Thanks
  2. That's just typical isn't it, I''ve spent probably a couple of hours trying to figure out what was wrong and the moment I ask for help I spot the issue - I have both wet edges and protect alpha selected on the top line for the brush, unticked and it works! So it was me being dim. RESOLVED THANK YOU.
  3. Good morning, I am having problems using layer masks in that they just don't work. I've tried a couple of times over the last few days, including after a reboot. Basically if I have two layers with a photo in each and create a layer mask on the top one I am unable to get any action from the paintbrush (black or white) to respond on the layer masks. The process appears to be pretty simple and follow what I would have been doing in photoshop, I've watched a couple of online videos including this one : https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/332168517/ and whilst I may be doing something stupid I just cant see it. I've made a short video (my skills display themselves as next to non existent obviously!) and hoping someone can tell me what I am doing wrong please as it seems more likely I am missing something obvious that there being an actual bug, this is in Affinity Photo 1.8.3.641 Thanks Affinity_Photo_2020-07-05_09-22-51.mp4
  4. I suspect it must be something local to my machine, I tried putting the various files together in smaller batches and it worked and then I tried them all again at once and worked twice in a row, the didn't seem to be a memory restriction or out of disk space but something was upsetting it, so I'm good now thanks.
  5. Hi, I am trying to merge some photos (DNG files) as a panorama, the program (v1.7.3.481) completes the stitch step, I then press OK and it goes to rendering panorama and then the program drops out completely. There is plenty of memory as at the point of failure, the program is using a little over half the memory set as maximum (and is available) but it does seem to be a size limitation of some nature because if I reduce the number of files down it seems to work ok - there are 32 files and 16 (the first 16 or last 16) appears to work ok...not sure why I am hitting some limitation so any pointers appreciated. Crash report attached. Thanks 2786f01c-b006-4781-b9e6-453cf8e30d18.dmp
