  1. I do have errors more than once a day when editing in AF 2.2. AP on my M1 Max MBP freezes, and it happens when indeed jumping from clone stamp to brush for masking, and the image panel seems to go to black, as well as AF becoming unresponsive. Force quiting is the way out. Symptoms: becoming unresponsive, after showing weird artefacts. See attachment.
  2. Thank you for this suggestion. I've set up a short key for the new empty layer mask.
  3. Hello all, I find I am loosing a small amount of time every time I want to add a layer mask on a layer. I like how this worked in V1: click and option click for an empty mask. Now it opens a sub menu. May be you could figure a way to have both but give uses an option to add a layer mask to a selected layer without an additional click. I personally don't have use for the sub menu. So a toggle where I can set how this works, would work for me. Thanks for considering this feedback to be processed. Best, Kevin
  4. This is something I prefer as well. I noticed it sometimes is the zoom-level. but more often then not I need to open the manager. I love the way V1 handles grids more because of many files I open and close in an hour. Beyond this, keep up all the great work. Best, Kevin
  5. My Wacom Intuos Pro (medium) is configured as following (as I need these functions very much for my editing: see screenshot.) For the Pen it is nothing different than my regular OS preferences. My ring adjusts the brush size - with hot keys [ and ].
  6. I'd like to let you know that my performance went backwards when I moved from a MacBook Pro 13" with Intel i7 to a 16" M1 Max with 64GB. For what it's worth I have a 4TB version. When compositing images in AP, the software became irresponsive while brushing in masks and adjustment layers. At first I thought it were driver bugs from my Wacom or macOS. But finding this thread made me try disabling Metal Compute and this did the job for me. I did edit some images and did not get the irresponsiveness after. When things change I'll get back to this thread. I do feel that I might miss out something when the Metal Compute is fixed (but disabled on my Mac.)
  7. On my iMac Pro (with the latest version of Affinity Photo and latest version of Big Sur) I experience the following. When compositing images with layers and masks, blend modes and my Wacom, often the system freezes and it logs me out. When loging in again, it restarts AFP and asks for using the recovery files. This does not occur on my 13" Macbook Pro with the same Wacom and same software versions. This is an early 2020 model. I cannot find a cache file on my iMac Pro. Is there anything I can try to do? Are others experiencing this as well or is this new? On my Macbook Pro I sometimes do have a lag when starting AFP. Both are from the App Stores. I'll check when this occurs.
  8. It would be great if this is possible. I just discovered the live projection mode in AFP1.5. Could somebody advise on this matter? So is there a way to straighten the panorama (like Flexify for PS) in Affinity Photo? http://www.flamingpear.com/flexify-2.html
