  1. I think I may have found the problem--it looks like when I transferred files from one drive to another, I may have moved an old file. Thanks for the response--I'm going to see if I have the correct files--if so, the problems on my end.
  2. I think I moved the directory around--but it should all be as a unit (i.e. all the data in the same subdirectories). Any ideas? when I open the file it doesn't show ANY Master Pages. I had several.
  3. I opened a file I'd been working on and found my master pages are gone. The file still appears and loads but it is damaged. Some of the words are also corrupted with what looks like Unicode characters. The left-hand pages of the book have essentially vanished. Any ideas? Is there some recovery process?
  4. If I create a bunch of curves / vectors in Affinity Designer, is there a way to import that directly into Affinity Publisher? Copying and pasting creates a bit of a mess. I can rasterize the collection--but I'd rather not do that. Is there some way to do this?
  5. I have a bunch of tables and graphics and while I can pin a graphic to the text it goes with, despite selecting Square or Tight, it still cheerfully overlaps with tables. What are my options here?pi
  6. Trying to drag a table around, apparently I copied it and somehow set it so it's inaccessible: It's the table with the X's. It's not in my master files. I can't selected. I think I've found it in the layers panel but I can't delete it. What is this and how can I remove it?
  7. Thanks--I just broke it up and did it piecemeal. If it happens again, I'll let you know.
  8. Hi, So: I have an Affinity Pub file that I'm working on. It has about 54 pages of text and graphics. When I PLACE the next (50pgs) part of the book Affinity Publisher hangs (doesn't come back after 40 minutes). So: What do I do? 1. I can create another book just for this new chapter. If I do that, how do I merge them for the final piece? 2. I can try copy-pasting from the new file but I really want to avoid that if I can. Would it make a difference? I feel like Place is the better option. 3. The import file is only 77k (it's a .docx derrived from a google docs file). I can't think of why it would be slagging Affinity Publisher so hard. Any thoughts?
  9. When I export to PDF my output PDF has the facing pages "fused" (that is, I can't view them as single pages--they seem somehow fixed as facing pages). Is there some setting for my master pages or export that I'm missing?
  10. Thanks. I import everything with Place. I've got all my content in various docx files. I will figure out the pinning thing. 2. It came in that way. Changing the top row fill doesn't fix it. Somehow those white spaces seem to actually be in there . . . somewhow?
  11. Doesn't the corona of rows and columns around it indicate it's a table?
