In using Affinity photo soft-proofing layer with Mac OS and printing with Canon Pro 10, there are no icc profiles for the stock Canon papers- (Pro luster, Pro Platinum, Semi-gloss, Premium Matt)
As it turns out, Canon does not install them in the location they should be in [library>ColorSync>Profiles] and so Affinity cannot see or use them. However, Canon does install them in a quite hidden way. So here is the path to find them and copy and then paste them to the proper Library>colorsync>Profiles location and then in soft-proofing, these paper icc profiles will appear and can be soft-proofed to. I am posting this on the AffinityBug forum as either the software writers for Affinity or Canon should include a script that will address this.
The Canon icc profiles are found here: Library> Printers> Canon> BJPrinter> Resources> ICCProfiles> [at this point a list of printers appear and you have to control-click the correct printer such as the PRO10 series or the PRO100series - a dropdown menu will appear. Choose 'show package contents'] Then go to Contents> Resources and all the icc profiles appear to be copied and then pasted in the correct location.
I hope this is some help to those who also had this issue and it can be addressed by the software writers of either Canon or Affinity. cheers
