Clone tool crosshair moves when using

Thank you. I had tried turning off align but the source still moves. -
Please advise how to stop the plus sign (cross hair) from moving when I select a location and then go to apply the clone. I would like the area selected to stay constant rather than moving as I use the tool. I believe it must be a setting as it didn’t do this before an update. I tried the align button but that did not work. thank you
