    Hi @mapz,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums
    I've split you post from the original thread since this is a different issue not related with the Develop Persona as in the original thread.
    I've recently filled a bug report about an issue i believe is what you are experiencing here, nonetheless i would like to double-check your afphoto file. Do you mind uploading it along with the original PNG using this link please? Thank you.

    Thanks for your reply.
    I agree with your assessment, but this problem stems farther than user changeable attributes. Sony is certainly adding saturation and sharpness by default, but they are also displaying more physical resolution in the RAW file in both total data visible to the end user and in the data that it renders to the screen in the RAW file preview. These things cannot be "enhanced" by Sony's software and I cannot make the side-by-side comparison look any closer with additional slider tweaking. I did not notice this disparity in Lightroom either.
    At some level, Affinity photo is only rendering a 1080p quality preview of the actual RAW data and is not loading the full file into the preview.
    I hope others may have noticed this also.

    I have just started using Affinity Photo (AP) for RAW development. I use a Sony camera and I edit .ARW files.
    I have noticed that photos look way better in Sony's Edit software than in AP. The photos look significantly sharper in Sony's software. This is because Sony is apparently utilizing the full pixel density afforded by my 1440p monitor, while AP is not. It also seems that AP is not loading the full image data for the file, when I compare 1:1 zoomed images in each software.
    I included two sceencaps to prove this. The first shows the render preview much sharper on Sony's software (right) than on AP (left). The second shows the image data fully loaded in Sony's software (right), but not on AP (left).
    This essentially makes AP unusable to me. How do I fix this?

    Hi 4personnen
    This is a feature that hasn't yet been implemented into Designer but our devs do plan on adding it. In the meantime I'll move this thread to our Feature Requests section

    @kimtorch
    Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums
    There are plans to add scripting to the Affinity range, but few details have been released yet.

    Are there any plans to add scripting support?
    I notice there is no Applescript library at all but am interested to know if there are plans to add Applescript or perhaps Javascript support. Virtually everything we do as far as creating PDFs, packaging, placing images and text, formatting, proofing, sending pages to print etc is done via script.
    Tagged text goes hand-in-hand with scripting so I think this needs to also be supported.
