Garry thank you for speedy reply. Please forgive me, but I do not fully understand your questions, and I do not have a clue how to send a video!! I am nearly 70, self taught, so I have achieved something! I attach 9 photos, photos 1-4 show how I create this change in V1 Affphoto. You’ll appreciate that I’ve overdone the changes for demonstration purposes. Photos 5-9 are Affphoto V2. I’m sure you can see where the problem lies. I cannot see a mask unless I turn the layer off, before turning it back on to use. I can’t believe that is correct. thank you again for your help and I hope the attached answer your questions.

V2 only. If I apply an adjustment, for example "brightness and contrast". After applying I go to invert and the adjustment is removed, however I do not get a black mask like V1 unless I disable that adjustment and then re-enable. is this correct? Thanks

Hi I have been using Affinity Photo for some time. All of a sudden (last few days) it is crashing mid editing - so frustrating.... I thought it was when I used the Tone map tool - but its just done in whilst using ordinary layers What's happening please? thanks

Sirs, I uploaded the new update and my PC either locks up or closes Affinity Photo after 2 or 3 minutes. Any suggestions how to resolve? Thanks. The PC is only about 12-15 months old, and I've been told it is quite a high spec.

Can I join this? I'm having the same problem with Affinity Photo. After two or three minutes the programme either locks, or, shuts down Affinity Photo. I'm not sure how to advise computer details, but its only about 12 months old and never had a problem with Affinity before. Thanks.

Sirs, I currently have Affinity Photo on my laptop. Unfortunately it is about 8 years old and quite slow. My son has suggested I need a new computer. Will I be permitted to load another Affinity Photo onto a new computer and also keep my original copy on my laptop? Thanks & Regards Andrew Wood

Please excuse my ignorance but i've never used a forum before! Thanks for your speedy reply. In answer to your question I have an image, typically 5*7 ratio and then I want to put a thin white border around. The proportion of the border will be about 1%. ie if the photo width is 10 inches I'd like a border about 1/10 inch. Thanks.
