Its great to see that Serif still appreciates the value of Pantone in 2022. The color picker swatch panel unfortunately is super slow, clunking as you try and scroll it and impacts the side panel/s and window resize performance dramatically. small swatch sets do not create the problem. Each swatch is an object i guess, with hundreds of objects being moved the team did not optimise.

While every brand has its apologists. Maybe given your interpretation that languages and text layouts other than your own are of no importance, you should avoid commenting on the topic. You probably come across sounding as being something you may not intend.

The fact that this request has been going on for years with total silence from the developers is disturbing

This is a huge ongoing issue and has been for years with their products.

Dear Serif, I have decided to move from InDesign to Affinity Publisher as it is clear your software is so much faster and contains a suitable feature set. My main project at this time is a series of 3 books with horizontal English text and vertical Japanese text on alternating pages. I agree with the OP, vertical text support for text boxes, unrelated to the underlying system language would be incredibly valuable. I was honestly hoping for it as there was evidently so many other excellent features.
