  1. Hi, I use Affinity Designer 2.1.1. every day on my Windows 11 box hooked up to an external monitor. When I leave the office, I'm stuck with only my 14" laptop. Somehow Affinity remembers that the export menu was last used on my second monitor, so when I run Affinity on just my laptop, I can't access the Export menu. I have to hook my laptop up to an external monitor to retrieve the menu. Also, when that menu is out of reach, Affinity acts as if it's frozen, because it only wants input on that active window. Using F8 and selecting different screen options doesn't help. Thanks!
  2. Affinity works fine with opening EPS and AI files. If it doesn't if often because the producer of the file (Freepik for example) didn't do a great job at making the file.
  3. Wow! That simple?! So, wouldn't it be nice if Affinity could display this suggestion in a pop-up? Thanks so much for the quick help!
  4. I have tried to upgrade to version 1.9, I tried 1.9.1 and now 1.9.2. In all of these versions, I can't do anything. I can't even open a jpeg file. In the top right corner I see: 1 document loading. But what's really happening is that AP crashed. I would really appreciate some help, since my team is using the Affinity suite professionally and we're all still using 1.8.5. Thanks, Koen
  5. Both 1.9.0 and 1.9.1 seem to install fine. But as soon as I open any image, it keeps loading (crashes) Back to AP 1.8.5 Koen
  6. Hi Sean, Thanks for the explanation. That's really helpful. Now that we know it's not an Affinity issue, we'll continue to invest time in it. Koen
  7. Correct! But there is more. Many parts of this image have pixel and vector layers mixed up. But.. When I open the EPS in Adobe Illustrator, all layers are vector!
  8. Hi, We found that Affinity Designer has some serious problems with EPS files. Many parts of the vector end up pix-elated! We found a workaround; we opened the EPS files in Adobe illustrator, then saved it as an AI file. When we open the AI file in Affinity Designer the file has no issues! Thanks for looking into it!
