My computer is administered by the university IT-department and I have not had any system updates in the last days; I only received AD 1.7 and a few other app-updates as part of the latest update package, but as said no system updates were included in the package. Anyhow, I have a local admin, which I can use for system updates if required, which I did, thanks to your hint with the drivers!

Hi Mark, thanks a lot for your response! Everything works fine after updating the graphics drivers. It was just so weird, 1.6 worked fine and after installation of 1.7 I got these flickers...

Hi, I am quite a newbie here. The tutorials are really great to get going fast! I am looking for how to get the guides parallel to a (non-rectangular) grid. When pulling from the rulers the guides are always rectangular (i.e. horizontal and vertical). Is there a simple way to get the guides parallel to the grid? Of course one can always draw lines with the pentool... thanks, Robert
