KJ08 reacted to supermundane in Affinity Photo Not working with Huion Kamvas 16 Pro
    Hi firstdefence,
Thanks for your efforts and for enquiring on Facebook.  I had to go out and so I've only just managed to get around to looking at the problem again.
I have emailed Huion with the details and I await their response.
However, I have something to add, which may provide a workaround for some, if others experience these issues.
Within the Tablet's Driver settings panel and alongside the Enable Windows Ink checkbox, there is a Game Mode checkbox. I've previously toggled that option on and off to no effect.
How after the reinstall, if I have both 'Enable Windows Ink' and 'Game Mode' enabled, the brush tools with work in Affinity Photo and Designer.
Well sort of as the Mouse Pointer remains visible at all times, effectively obstructing the view of the brush itself.
And...with the Game Mode checkbox enabled the tablet ceases to work in Photoshop CS4 - no response at all in PS. It does continue to work in Krita (it appears that the free, open-source program provides the best support for tablets and pen displays).

Is it possible for you to post a copy of your file and confirm which Affinity program that you are using

If you are aiming to 1 colour print you would have to halftone the propeller ellipse to suitable screen frequency. Probably draw the halftone manually.

If I understand what you want to do correctly, just select all four shapes & use Layer menu > Geometry > Add, or the Add button on the Operations section of the toolbar.

If, like me, you have very limited drawing skills, you might want to try doing what I do: start with shapes made using the Shape Tools, convert them to curves (Cmd+Return or Ctrl+Enter, depending on whether you're on a Mac or Windows) and then use the Node Tool to tweak the shape as desired. For example, to draw the legs in that drawing I would start by drawing two concentric ellipses and subtracting the smaller one from the larger one by selecting both objects, going to the Geometry toolbar and Option/Alt-clicking on the 'Subtract' icon to create a compound object, allowing me to adjust the two shapes individually.

    Cosmetic supplement:
Since AfPublisher's retail version (v.408) the default palette "Colours" show its swatches in a new sort-by-colour order.
Whereas in beta versions these swatches got sorted by Saturation first, now they are grouped by saturation and mixed with Hue in between. That way now for instance Reds and Yellows appear mixed.
Is there a way for me to reset this sort-by-color order back to the "old style"?

"Colours" sorted by color: Beta versus final release:

    Hi Montana_907,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
What's the file format of the template files? PSD, PDF, Ai?
To open them just go to menu File ▸ Open. There's no way to integrate them as templates within the application itself. Open the original template each time you need to start a new document based on it and save with a different file name. I would create/keep a copy/backup of the original template files to prevent overwriting them.

I experience poor pen pressure performance with my Wacom Intuos Pro (everything is up-to-date), as well. Works perfectly in other programs (Inkscape, Gimp, etc).
