  1. I can easily reproduce the OP's issue. See below. The big shape was drawn quickly while the smaller one was drawn slowly. After drawing the shape, I used the Flood Fill tool to fill with grey. Image 1: both shapes Image 2: big one zoomed in Image 3: small one zoomed in (at similar zoom level as 2).
  2. Next try (looking for a workaround; I support the OP's request to have something for this in Affinity's products). The object and the shadow will become one if you do that, but you can copy-paste from Pages into Publisher. Also, for some reason, Affinity puts handles around the object some distance away from the actual edges.
  3. I see this as default when I follow your steps. It looks different than before (although I'm not 100% sure) but it's not white to white. Anyway, some changes, not necessarily improvements. Not a big deal for me and I can't say that I see the dialogues as broken.
  4. I created a new document in 1.10, added a fill layer (white by default) and applied a gradient. It was a white to black gradient. What were the circumstances under which you tried to apply the gradient? Note: forget it. Old mistake. I was using Affinity Photo (which has fill layers). I can confirm that in AD it's a (almost) white to (almost) white gradient, all at a sudden.
  5. Not sure, but I believe this shouldn't be an issue. iCloud stores data locally and then syncs to the cloud.
  6. In addition, you can always use the paint brush on the mask layer and 'paint away' the pixels outside the main object.
  7. Perspective tool? Did you create three individual segments first? Else, I wouldn't know how to do this using the perspective tool, so I'm curious.
  8. If it's about going around a straight corner, like in the above examples, wouldn't it be easier to cut the text in two and use a perspective adjustment for each segment of the text?
  9. In combination with Photo and Designer it would give you access to image manipulation and design capabilities not available in PowerPoint (or Keynote, if you're a fan of that application, like me).
  10. Question: aren't iCloud files stored locally (and then synchronised to the cloud)? With Dropbox you have the option, I remember, to have the file reside in the cloud only, but that's not the case with iCloud.
  11. Not convinced this actually works as you describe, at least with me. I've created a shortcut to bring up the Assets studio, but that only works in Designer persona, not in Pixel persona, despite Apply to all being checked.
  12. This was done in Photo. The perspective tool isn't available in Designer, but you can Open in Photo from Designer, provided you have the license for Photo. It won't remain a vector object, I believe, when you export, but will be rasterised.
  13. Is this what you're looking for? Done by applying a Perspective Adjustment. The text remains editable.
  14. The App remaining active when closing the last window is MacOS expected behaviour. There are exceptions, even with Apple's own software, though. I can close the window and then, by using Cmd+N, create a new document, both in Separated mode and 'Normal' mode. Don't expect Affinity to create a new document by clicking the Dock icon.
  15. But, it looks like the first example given also has a perspective adjustment … I thought the OP had applied it, but couldn't apply the same to the 2nd image. Later I understood that he had expected it to be there, ready for making a change to the warped image. Now I'm a bit confused. 😕
  16. Looks like somehow the smart object wasn't recognised by Affinity, so that one has to re-apply the perspective. Normally it should be possible to double click and make changes.
  17. In herrei1.psd I found a white rectangle (blend mode: multiply; changed it to normal) and the underlying image. I had no problem applying a perspective filter to the white rectangle and make it fit to the image frame.herrei1.afphoto
  18. But, with Serif 1.10 comes in the place of 1.9.4, whereas with Apple both 11.4 and 11.5 are/will be released. The change in numbering from 1.9.4 to 1.10 could imply some bigger changes than originally anticipated by the developers.
  19. Yes, and also visible on the MacOS Monterey Preview page (Universal Control section):
  20. Yes, so that you can quickly change typos in the filename. 😉 I support this. The whole implementation of the filename in the toolbar by Serif has been so bad (is my opinion) that I've decided to completely remove the filename from it via Customise Toolbar. It means I can't see the filename when there's only one file open without going to the Window menu, but that's an acceptable workaround for me.
  21. Serif's reasoning is probably a bit like this: Ctrl-click on Windows is the equivalent of Cmd-click on Mac; Cmd-click is not used in combination with this function on Mac, so we can't use Ctrl-click on Windows. Alt-click on Windows is the equivalent of Option-click on Mac; in this case we use it for Substract. Now we need something for Ctrl-click on Mac (Add function); Let's see what is available; Umm, nothing, so let's use RMB.
