  1. Hi All, Please may someone help me with understanding how the "add" function is working. I'm trying to achieve the same result as "Flatten Transparency" in Illustrator. I thought I had figured it out and was able to achieve similar results for a good while until recently. I keep getting inconsistent results and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. All I want to do is "Add" the objects with the same colour but when I do this it fills in some of the "blank spaces" within the letters and leaves others unaffected. What is the "correct" way to achieve the same "flatten transparency" function as in Illustrator? Attached is a sample image of whats happening, the first letter "A" and "B" are getting completely filled in - not what I want - but the second letter "A" is behaving as it should and NOT getting filled in. This is happening when I used the "Add" function or the "divide" function. Whats is making the second "A" behave like it "should" and what is causing the other two letters "A" and "B" to not behave as they should? I'm very confused, please may one of the Affinity Guru's help me out here. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi All, I've just registered on the forums but have been using AD and AP for a little while now but have recently let go of Illustrators hand completely and for the most part it's been great, I hope Serif is putting a good dent in Adobe's sales. They've gotten too big and their customer service is terrible. Anyway, I too can confirm this issue, I've just tried to use the export persona, same problem here, keeps hanging. Is this a problem on all Windows versions of AD or are only a few people experiencing this issue? I also recently had a problem with accessing my AppData folder and had to "reclaim" ownership of my own files otherwise I couldn't access the folder. I also went back to Windows again after about 10 years, Apple too has gotten too big, time for the giants to take a bit of a knock.
