  1. On the ipad, following the hint here, I copied the background layer then inverted the depth map layer in adjustments panel. Then I “rasterized to mask” and dragged the mask into the copied background layer. That gave me my blurred background.
  2. Thank you for your reply. I hope the developers add the merge feature to the iPad version.
  3. Replying to my own thread as no one else has. I’ve tried multiple things including google and YouTube searches with little answer to my questions. Information about the iPad affinity designer seems sparse. The video tutorials are excellent but not for what I needed right now. I also deleted the app, and reinstalled it but was faced with the same issues. first 2) adding all works with the move tool selected. I had forgotten that from before 1) and 3) only works if you expand Stroke, then select all, then add. why the extra step? For those that use a cutting machine like a Cricut, adding is important and this was driving me nuts.
  4. I am fairly new using affinity designer but the upgrade makes me feel as if I have lost some features that were in the previous version. 1) I can’t seem to “add” anymore. See the video. It subtracts the two lines instead of uniting the layers 2) select all is not selecting all layers 3) joining nodes is creating separate lines. is it me or affinity designer? Again, I used these techniques in the previous version successfully, but am new enough to doubt myself. Please see the attached video for clarification. Thank you. FullSizeRender.mov
