  1. I have a document for a book layout with three master pages A, B and C. When I was almost finished laying out the book I decided I wanted to insert a new section that would be a variant of the master B pages. I then duplicated master B, renamed it, and made the changes I wanted to make to that master page. In my master pages window I now had masters A, B1, B2 and C.

When I went back to the pages I found that all pages that previously had master C assigned to them now had master B2 assigned to them.

Fortunately it was really easy to select those pages and re-assign them to master C, but unless there's some rationale to this that I fail to grasp I think this might be a bug.

    Best wishes, Gert

  2. I'm currently working on a series of posters that I've set up on 14 artboards in one afdesign file. Each artboard contains several text and pixel layers. The filesize is currently around 800 mb and that will probably double as I continue to add pixel layers. Will I be likely to run into trouble working with a file that large, or will I be fine?

I'm working on an iMac (late 2015), 3,1 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 memory and Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MB graphic card.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

  3. Dear Affinity staff,

I've encountered a problem that renders Affinity Photo unusable for me at this moment. I found that if I open a JPG and save it again, the file size increases massively.

    I did a few tests:

    • Original file size = 5.4 mb
    • If I open the file and export it as JPG (100%) the file size = 18.4 mb
    • If I open the file and export it as PNG the file size = 42.1 mb
    • If I open the file, click on 'auto levels' and click on 'save' the file size = 26.2 mb

I've ruined an entire batch of images I collected for a project by correcting levels, contrast and saving them. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I'm happy to share the files with you, but somehow the file upload fails. Let me know if you need the files, with instructions how to get them to you.

    Best wishes,
    Gert
