I created another file and redid the same steps and got the same error: 1 - Artistic text converted to curves 2 - I duplicated the letter "C", applied the outline and finished the shape shape builder.afdesign

The tool is not selecting the areas correctly. Look the first video, when i hover on the green part of the C he selects the yellow part too and when a hover on the terminal of the C he also selects another part at the bottom
