  1. Sorry for my late reply too. Yes, I downloaded the new MSI/EXE and they all worked fine. I hope that these are included in any future versions.
  2. Thanks, that is good news. My problem is not my version of Windows 10. I am using 21H2.
  3. Thanks for the advice (and also the speed of responses!), but this seems like a lot of effort (which might not work) for a laptop that works fine in every other way (permissions etc are not the problem and I checked the suggestions). I am disappointed that it looks like I won't be able to run the latest Affinity software on my laptop. I appreciate that the installing software using Windows Store is the way things are going (I have never done this before), but it has just stopped me from using the software on one of my computers. It's a pity there is not an alternative way of installing it. Installing software should be easy.
  4. Thanks and sorry the delay in replying. I have tried disabling my antivirus software, but still get the same error message.
  5. Thanks, and I should have said that I am running Windows 10 Pro 19044.2251 (version 21H2).
  6. I have been using Affinity Photo and Designer for quite a while and decided to get the Version 2 package with Photo, Designer and Publisher. I managed to install them on my desktop, but on my laptop I just get an error message headed Affinity Photo 2 installation failed, with the reason text box stating : "App installation failed with error message: error -2018574325: Windows cannot process a deployment operation because the package repository database encountered an unrecoverable error. Use the Reset Your PC feature to recover your PC. (0x80004005)" The same error message appears for Designer and Publisher. Do I really have to Reset my PC just to install this software? Any advice much appreciated.
  7. I agree. When exporting a file, the default option should not be the last exported file location, but the location of the file that you have open and are exporting from. It is really frustrating thinking you have exported a file to have to then track down where it is. This is an obvious and easy software fix. Your software is great, but let down by this simple issue.
  8. I just wanted to say thank you for fixing this problem so quickly and also for the way you interacted with us all. Everything works now. Great stuff.
  9. The beta of Designer works fine too. Once again thanks for the excellent customer service.
  10. Hi Mark, I have installed the 1.8.1.610 beta build and it works fine! I am really impressed with the speed you sorted this out. I assume there will be an equivalent for Designer too. I look forward to installing the official updates when they are put out. Cheers Anthony
  11. Yes, I have done this several times. I also get the same problem with Designer, which I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled.
  12. Yes, this is set. It does not seem to get far enough into loading to create the files. I have just tried again to uninstall and reinstall it. It crashes after accepting the terms and conditions. It creates the folders in AppData, but all those in Workspaces are empty.
  13. I have exactly the same problem as Trevor. I have tried reinstalling Photo, deleting all the files in AppData, making sure there is nothing in the registry and I it will still not start. The errors in the Log file are exactly the same as Trevor's. Folders such as %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\Workspaces\Photo\ are empty, so I can't rename files as suggested above. This is very frustrating, as I finally thought I would be able to open CR3 files in Photo. Please come up with a fix as soon as possible.
