  1. I actually managed to reinstall 95% of my brushes. The way I did it was by redownloading from the stores I got them from. What I have noticed is that if you upload them to either Google Drive or say iCloud and then re-download them, they won’t import - and yes I did put them in a folder on my iPad first before importing. And it’s not that my files were corrupted, because Artifex Forge have free brushes that are made available through their Google Drive - they still don’t work unfortunately. However, brushes downloaded directly from stores like Retro Supply or Frankentoon import just fine. Anyway, I’m sure it will be resolved. 👌
  2. Simply isn’t working. I wiped my iPad for clean start. Reinstalled Affinity. Can’t import my brushes. Everything works fine but that. The free brushes connected to my account downloaded and installed well, so I don’t understand why I can’t import my own. They’re a new set I bought the other day. They are well-compatible made specifically for Affinity from Frankentoon. My own purchased brushes were importing perfectly fine the other day. Now they aren’t. Please help I need affinity for work!!
  3. So grateful @Bryan Rieger thank you. I kept wondering why the generic CYMK just didn’t look right. Thank you also for what you provided. Really helpful to see. 😊
  4. FYI, the image I provided has become super saturated when uploading and so kinda defeats what it really looks like on my IPad. Image re-upload below.
  5. I use Procreate to illustrate and love to use Affinity 2 for colour checking and other design stuff. I use an IPad Pro 12.9 2021. However, I’ve noticed that Procreate’s CMYK is really quite dull in comparison to Affinity’s, especially with the reds. Do I have the right CMYK format in Affinity? Currently set to U.S. Web (SWOP) coated v2 with Relative Colourimetric. Why is this? Do I simply trust Affinity to provide an accurate representation of CMYK? Thank you for your help, this is really important!
  6. It crashes when opening projects and even when creating new ones. It opens or starts a new project - then about 3 seconds later it simply closes and crashes. I had not updated it when it started. However, I just updated now, as well as restarting my laptop it to see if that was the issue - but it's still doing it! It was working fine yesterday. Please help. I really need AP. Thanks
  7. Basically looked through the forum as best I could and tried pretty much everything that anyone has said. Not sure if I missed something? I'm having problems when placing vector patterns together - I don't like to rasterize stuff generally. I've attached three images: one is the PDF file of two of the same patterns. One is rotated and the other is not. I thought I was having the white line issue with only rotated patterns - however - in Affinity itself and in the PDF image (which I previewed in Chrome) the non-rotated pattern had no white lines, they may have come and gone when zooming in and out, but for the most part they weren't there. When I exported to PDF, they had gone. But when printed out, they were far worse than I anticipated. I'm not sure if this is me or whether Affinity doesn't like seamless patterns made with vectors. You get the white lines even if you place four square vector tiles together. If there is a private link where I can share my work then someone might be able to help. This is so important. THANK YOU Pattern test for print.pdf
  8. That's what I was hoping. I think this is a myth. But I was wrong about non-rotating patterns - they have white lines too! Here are some actual printouts.
  9. I've browsed other people's questions with the same/similar issue but still can't seem to get to the bottom of it. Not sure if there's something I'm not getting... This happens with any pattern I rotate - even 4 vector squares placed together. I like to use vectors for patterns - and I export them as PDF for the type of work I do. When they aren't rotated there aren't any lines when I export, but I sometimes like to rotate them because of the way it looks. But it looks like the pixels aren't opaque. The coverage map doesn't work with vectors when I export them. I don't like to rasterize my vector patterns either. I tried importing a pre-designed repeat pixel pattern and then adjusted the coverage map accordingly and the white lines disappeared. But I like to use vectors - so how do I make my patterns seamless? Thank you for your help.
  10. Though I might mention that the brushes I’m trying to move are the old default chalks and pastels that disappeared after a particular update. I just tried moving a couple of new default brushes and they work fine.
  11. Hi currently using Affinity on iPad. So far love it. I know the desktop version well. However, I created a custom category for raster brushes and every time I try to move a duplicate brush it doesn’t appear in the category. I even tried creating a new square brush and still nothing is in the category. Also, something very strange happened, when I created the square brush in the new category, the brush from the other category turned into a square brush too. Device: iPad Pro 2020 12.9
