Thanks everyone for your suggestion. I will give a few of these a try.

How about creating a Persona that would be for viewing multiple images and managing them? From that persona you could select image to develop. In the meantime, could you recommend an alternative? I hear good things about Photo Mechanic but at $139, its a bit out of my price range.
