Right, 100% K, not a combination of CMYK.

Our issues is with the type. We produce a 12+ page newspaper each week. Our printer wants the type to be Black black, not CMYK black. Is there a setting, when exporting, to set the type to black?

My printer requires that the type of the pdf file we submit is black black, not 4-color black. When I export the pages, which includes photos and art, I do select greyscale pdf. Yet, printing company says my type is 4-color black. Is there a way to set the type output as black?
