  1. Late to discussion... I also thought it was a bug as it's hard to duplicate and no documentation. I finally was able to do it consistently. The area beside the bounding box for shearing is very small, a bit too close to the box it will scale, a smidge too far it will de-select. Will need tablet specific UI to mark the shearing spot outside the bounding box. Unlike desktop there is no cursor in iPad version that will change when "hovered" over the right location.
  2. I had the same problem. PNG w or w/o transparency, black on white or white on black. I solved it by quitting (and remove app from iPad's "cache" by swiping it away when viewing recently opened app) and re-starting. And using a non-transparent PNG, I.e. white brush image on black background. The same file gave me transparent brush and black background before. So it was a bug, or some internal switch was turned on or off by re starting. It's possible they use different method to deal w images with transparency like PNG vs JPG, and sometimes it used the wrong method to intrepret PNG w transparent.
  3. Found a workaround. I was looking to change the direction of gradient instead of opacity and found this post. Direction and opacity both requires full function of the Fill Tool, and that's what I used instead. Use Fill tool to apply gradient to stroke has more options and as far as I can tell achieve the same thing if it's a vector shape or curve.
  4. Now it's giving it a mushroom cap artifact! Which persist when expanded. Image and file attached. Default vector brush Solid Pen w Pressure and Opacity. Pressure controller and window stabilizer on. iPad pro 11, iOS 12, Pencil 2, and current version of Designer. Maybe Pencil 2 is to sensitive or something. When the tip stay at on point for any length (like during initial touch down to begin a stroke) the brush "jitters". Untitled Copy.afdesign
  5. Hi Sean, Attached the file. Thin stroke is not as bad. It may be connected to my other post regarding starting point of stroke not rendered correctly when pressure is enabled, because when expanded the start of stroke will become a firework of nodes/vertices. And if no controller is enabled, so uniform brush width, this nodes Bonanza doesn't seem to happen. Bonus Bug: When stroke partially overlaps itself (for example at a sharp corner) sometimes it creates voids, which will be expanded as well. Image attached with red circle on the artifact (I also notice this in Illustrator CS6 so maybe it's a common vector problem). Thank you. Untitled_2.afdesign
  6. When enabling vector brush pressure with size variance set to 25% and above, and wide brush size, the curves produced after the Expand Stroke operation usually have way to many nodes around curves / corners. And often two nodes will be practically on top of each other, each with one handle in different direction. (I found similar problem in Illustrator CS6 as well) Using Smooth afterward doesn't improve the situation much.
  7. Hi Sean, Here is a vid. It doesn't matter which brush it is. As long as I start with strong pressure. I just checked my pencil pressure setting it's at default (straight 45˚ line). Edit: also to specify, I am using Pencil 2nd Gen, not sure if that makes a difference affinity brush glitch.mov
  8. I am having trouble with vector brush with pressure controller on. The initial down stroke would be broken looking if I apply pressure. This is irregardless of size variance %. It looks like the first node is always much lighter pressure / thinner then is followed immediately by a 2nd node with the heavy pressure / thicker, and the rendering of the two so close to each other goes haywire. I am using iPad pro 11" and Apple Pencil. Images attached. Thank you!
