  1. I tried the Inkscape method but I lost some of the elements when I tried to import the Inkscape PDF into ADes. Opening the PDF and re-creating the PDF using the FoxIt Reader PDF Printer but with the embed font option unticked appears to be a quicker and more reliable method for me.
  2. I also tried https://www.konwerter.net/results/ and https://www.extractpdf.com/ and although I was able to download and install the fonts from a PDF when I opened Affinity Designer those fonts were still showing as missing so that doesn't seem a way forward. The only luck i have had is my opening the PDF and re-creating the PDF using the FoxIt Reader PDF Printer but with the embed font option unticked.
  3. I need a quick way to identify RGB images in my Publisher files. So a preflight option is a definite +1 here.
  4. https://www.weenysoft.com/pdf-extractable-data.html would seem to do the job. I will need to consider if this is a a more appropriate method than opening the original and recreating the pdf by outputting embedded fonts as curves.
  5. No that is what I did. Presumably it works for you?
  6. As per the title. I cannot use find and replace to replace double spaces with single spaces. Is there a trick to doing this? Currently copying text into Word and doing search replace there.
  7. Hi @stokerg Well as per the screen shot all the images were embedded but as if by magic they now show as linked. I wish I knew what was going on. Thank you for responding.
  8. Workflow thing really... My projects tend to use content supplied by third parties that I need to edit ( one reason is-because APub is unable to render embedded fonts correctly). I keep this content in a separate folder. When placed into APub it would be logical to edit these changes using persona but with embedded content, the content in the folder wouldn’t be updated would it. Therefore when I need to edit this external content instead of using persona I open the files with open with in APho or ADes. Does my reasoning make sense?
  9. This issue has just hit me. I was mistakenly under the impression that if I used the File > Place method of importing a PDF then embedded fonts would display correctly. I have now found to my cost that this is not the case. Note that I am not expecting to edit the PDF, for that I would expect to have to install all fonts, but I definitely need a facility to import a PDF and have it display correctly as it does in a PDF reader.
  10. I seem to remember a similar issue with this particular font. I believe there are a number of versions of Garamond out there and at least one of them looks very different to the 'normal' one.
  11. One of my Publisher files when opened generates multiple Linked Resource changed errors - image below However the Resource Manager (correctly) shows all my resources are embedded (not linked) and their status is OK.
